Before I inundate you with photos from the past few weeks, I just wanted to drop in and say hello. I’ve been letting myself breathe a little. I’ve been taking more bubble baths when I should be cleaning. I’ve been sleeping a little later when I should be up editing photos before work. I’ve been crawling around on the floor with my baby instead of blogging. I’ve been practicing a little forgiveness when it comes to my to-do lists.
Nate and I just got back from our first weekend away from the baby for our six year anniversary. We had so such a wonderful time. A relaxing, carefree time. We missed Landon like crazy but I feel like we really let ourselves enjoy being away. I’ll tell you more about our trip in coming posts – but the bottom line is that we had some downtime to just be us… and it was so nice. (Shout out to all the Grandparents that made that happen!)
But now we’re back to the daily grind. I am so glad to be back with my baby but there are also full schedules and long to-do lists to face. I let myself get overwhelmed sometimes by those things, especially after a trip. The laundry is piled high, and so are the dishes. And we have lots of fun stuff on our schedule too, but sometimes even those things can feel overwhelming. I think that is my favorite thing about vacation – NO schedule what-so-ever. I will never be that person who creates a strict itinerary on vacation. I may make a list of places and things I would like to visit and see – but not having to be anywhere at all is pretty much the best feeling.
BUT – I’m back to the scheduled life! We haven’t forgotten about this little blog and our plans for it! (= Hang tight!
