Okay y’all, I’m going to admit it. When I first saw some of the 90’s fashion trends coming back, I wasn’t into it. But I started seeing chokers around again and I just had to have one. I feel like this choker is going to channel the 90’s regardless of what outfit I wear it with but I really love the way it works with this dress and these plaid sneakers! I picked up this dress from Gordman’s for free – yep, 100% free!
Quinoa is one of my favorite simple foods to make! It’s high in nutrients, gluten-free, and super versatile. If you’re a mom, you need more quick and easy superfoods in your repertoire, right?! Maybe you’ve been making quinoa dishes for years and you’re giving me the side eye right now wondering what rock I’ve been living under. I hear ya. I’ve been seeing delicious sounding recipes all over Pinterest for a long time but I just never gave any of them a try!
Over the weekend I got a chance at a little “me time”. It was just what I needed! I had a hair appointment at my new salon in Lexington Green, Sola Salon Studios (shout out to Tiffany Fitzpatrick for keeping my hair vibrant and perfect!), and on my way in I passed by an adorable boutique called Peacocks & Pearls. I decided to check it out after my appointment, thinking that it would probably be way out of my price range. When I walked in I immediately fell in love with the decor. I have been dying to do something with our entertainment center. I’d love to eventually build this space out to look like a built-in with lots of storage and pretty shelves but that’s not exactly in the budget right now! I have been so tired of trying to keep all of the stuff inside of our entertainment center looking organized and tidy. Landon is constantly opening the doors and jamming his arms down into to try and get stuff out, despite the beautiful (useless) child lock. So, it’s just a mess in there. …
