I finally put some of those frozen bananas to use in my banana bread! 😆 Who else has a freezer full of brown bananas? Can’t just be me.

Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t mak Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t make it into this mix. 🎶🤘🏻 But there’s a @drpepper t-shirt so that’s even better! I’ve been having so much fun lately remixing things I’ve had for years along with a few new pieces!

Thrifting and finding a super good clearance deal = my favorite! I’m not really sure what my style is these days.. but I’m having fun playing around with it and feeling a little more like ME in what I’m wearing. Warped Tour heart, coffee shop soul vibes? ✨😆

I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, keeping up with a house, and trying to take care of everyone else… I forgot to ask myself what I actually like.

So lately I’ve been paying attention.

The clothes I want to wear.

The hobbies I want to try.

The spaces I want to create.

The things that make me feel like myself.

Maybe this is exactly what your late 30s are for. Not becoming someone new.. but remembering who you are.✨

I still just sit and stare at them in disbelief sometimes.. my twin babies.. my last babies.. and somehow they’ve been here for 4 whole years. If you’re a twin mom, you know that the time passes different. The early stages are a blur in a way I don’t even know how to explain. It makes it all a bit more bittersweet.

I love you Bennett & Everett! 💙💙

Universal was a blast. I hadn’t been since I was Universal was a blast. I hadn’t been since I was a teenager and I only vaguely remembered a ride or two! There was so much to do for the littlest brothers and aside from being HOT, it was perfect.

Everett was big mad at us for taking him on the SpiderMan ride and did not trust our judgement the rest of the time. 🤣 He LOVED the 1 Fish 2 Fish ride and wanted to ride that all day.

Bennett on the other hand was all about the thrills and the Trollercoaster was his favorite. He said it was “Torrifying” but he made us all ride it with him multiple times.

I rode Velocicoaster with Nate, Landon, and Maile. And while I would do it again - for a moment I did think I might die. I only did that once. 🤣 Nate and Landon rode it multiple times. Hagrid’s was more my speed and Cohen agrees with me!

I am a Disney girl at heart! But Disney doesn’t have a *real life* baby dinosaur that you can pet sooo there’s some competition. 😆

Year Of October

confettiyoc

Having friends in a band is a pretty cool thing, because sometimes they think that you are cool enough with your big fancy camera to take their photos. What they don’t know is that in the world of blog land everyone has a big fancy camera and I’m not actually as cool as I pretend to be. But, moving right along..

Nate and I met up with Josh and Phlecia Sullivan, the sweet newlywed couple behind Year of October, in downtown Lexington Saturday evening for a super laid back band photo shoot. They have another band mate, Seth Sizemore, who I jokingly said I would photoshop into the photos since he couldn’t make it- but guess what Seth? I don’t feel like it and you should just make it to your band’s photo shoots. ;] Phelcia, Josh (aka Sully), and Seth live in Nashville and are pursuing their dream of making it big. Stories, their new “bluesy” folk rock album is currently available for listen and download here!

Or here, real quick!

This was really a lot of fun for me because while I absolutely love photography, I’m not the best at directing people on how to pose or stand, so I’m not extremely confident in my ability to take photos in this type of setting. Thankfully I think they liked how the pictures came out and I don’t feel like a failure! Hooray. :] And honestly, how could Phelcia not photograph well – right? I know. (You too, Sully!)

It is always been my dream that my children will share this love of seeing live performances with me. Fiona has already been to see two Broadway shows with me (Annie and Matilda but Quentin has yet to see any. He’s just not ready, nor would he enjoy the idea of having to sit still for several hours.
