This weekend has treated me particularly well! I really hope that you can all say the same. I’ve been slowly getting caught up on the pictures from Chicago and trying to also sort out our 365 photos. I’m getting there! Today has been such a beautiful day- not in terms of weather.. and certainly not my appearance (cough!) but it’s just been a productive and fun day. Our five year old nephew Ethan stayed the night with us last night and it’s been so fun and different to have a little boy in the house! Or a little anyone, for that matter. We’ve never kept any of the kids on our own and I really enjoyed it. Of course, Nate did all of the “work” because Ethan wants to talk about baseball, watch baseball, play baseball videos game, etc.- and Aunt Stephie is kind of brain dead about baseball. (Sorry, Ethan!) But I was allowed to participate in the eating of pizza and the watching of Toy Story 3, along with some popcorn munching. I can’t complain. You’ll see the 365 from this when I get caught up, ahh!
For now, enjoy the first batch of photos I uploaded from Chicago. These are from the first night and the first part of our first full day there.
Today is also awesome because it’s only 2:47PM and I have accomplished so much! To start, I have a roast in the crock pot for dinner. Really excited for dinner! Secondly, I’ve totally scrubbed, vacuumed, wiped, washed, dusted, and laundered- my entire house. This might sound like bragging right now, but no- it’s not. Because listen, if you saw our bathroom before you would’ve been really ashamed of the disgusting people that live here. I’m not exaggerating. When I cleaned it- I wanted to punch myself.
Not to mention, I’ve been using this:

And even though you can’t really see it. Um, it’s everywhere. When I cleaned the toilet- red residue came off. When I cleaned the OTHER SINK in the OTHER BATHROOM where I NEVER sprayed it ever- RED RESIDUE CAME OFF. I was on my hands and knees trying to scrub it off of the floor. Needless to say, I am not using that crap anymore. It works really well and I like it, minus when I scratch my head and have nails full of red dye. But just, no. I really wanted to review this product and give it a thumbs up, but the fact that it secretly dyes every surface within 100 ft of where it’s sprayed. No. The funny thing? It’s not on the white door that was directly behind me when I used it.
Well, I think it’s finally time I take a shower (in my newly clean bathroom!) and get out of my PJs. Nate just took Ethan home and I’m not sure what we’ll be up to the rest of the afternoon. I’m thinking about reorganizing my closet and working on a “closet inventory“, what do you think?! I’m kind of obsessed with lists, and a list that has to do with all of my clothes? Yeah, that sounds like fun. What a good idea, Elaine!
Make sure you don’t forget about the mini floral bag giveaway! I’m so excited for the turn out so far, and it doesn’t end until Friday! (tell your friends!) You have a possibility of up to 4 entries. =) I can’t wait to see who wins, and maybe they could even blog about how they styled it (if they have a blog)? That would make my day! And PS: to people I know in real life, in case you’re wondering, you are allowed to enter too!
