I should be sleeping. Cohen Samuel is at the foot of my bed in his cozy bassinet, swaddled with his little belly full. His feet kicking up occasionally to the sound of his daddy snoring to my left on the uncomfortable hospital couch. And I am here, awake. I know I should be sleeping.
But it’s hard to sleep when you recognize the life-changing moments sweeping over you and slipping through your fingers all at once. The most beautiful minutes and hours of my life.
Since I couldn’t sleep, I checked my email and saw that my maternity photos that Sarah took of us on Saturday evening were ready to view and download. Looking at them, I have tears in my eyes.
