I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would get ‘me’ back and I suppose I have been on a mission! ❤️‍🔥

I’ve had this Anberlin tattoo floating around in my brain for yearsss. Finally talked through it with a friend, shared my ideas with @alexandratattoo , and she made them all come to ✨LIFE!✨ Had the best time enjoying several hours of girl talk, good music, and tattoo therapy with her - truly it is therapy and she is the best of the best!!!

I’m not sure I could ever put into words what Anberlin’s music has meant to me over the years. If you feel that way about music in any capacity - you get it. It’s definitely one of those ‘if you know, you know’ things. My Dad was a musician and he certainly passed that feeling down to me. Love that I carry that with me!

And now I get to carry pieces of my favorite band with me. 🖤🎶
Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohe Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohen! He rolled his eyes at me when I said it’s crazy that he went from 6…to 7! If you know you know.

Cohen is so sweet, kind, helpful, and smart. He loves building hot wheels tracks, setting up play areas for his little brothers, swimming, NASCAR, baseball, and never sitting still or being quiet… ever. 😆

I’m so thankful God chose me to be his mom! I love you Cohen!! Happy birthday!!

The weather is finally starting to cool off a little here in the bluegrass. The changing of the seasons always puts me in a better mood. Fall always feels like the perfect time for organizing and reflecting. My wardrobe starts to feel fresh and new as I pull out sweaters and scarves that have been pushed to the side for months. There’s just something calming and peaceful about this time of year. I love it. I love heading out to brunch in the crisp fall air with my little family. But to be fair, I love heading out for brunch in just about any weather…ahem! We tried Wild Eggs for the first time last weekend and it was delicious!

This past week I’ve been working on organizing my life. Sometimes I feel like we’re always running behind and flying by the seat of our pants! This week I went to the grocery store with a solid meal plan. I updated my planner this week complete with aerial classes, Nate’s meetings, my blog schedule, and our meals. I feel my best when everything is laid out right in front of me. I have been making the BEST burgers in my cast iron skillet and I made my own chicken broth last night to use in the homemade chicken noodle soup I’m making tonight! Proud moments.

I’ve also been working on a yoga practice at home and I think this is helping my overall wellbeing. Every night before bed I have been making sure to at least stretch. Sometimes I feel like doing a full yoga session and sometimes I just stretch for a few minutes. Consistency is key, of course. So I’m trying to make sure I do it no matter what.

Now to work on waking up early! Any tips for that? Almost nothing sounds better than sleep so I am going to have to make a solid plan to do something that sounds good enough to wake up for! I’m thinking if I set everything out the night before I could easily roll out of bed, do a quick yoga session, make some coffee, and stream on Twitch.tv and/or work on blog content each morning before work. So ambitious. I just want to be a morning person!! You know what would get me out of bed at the crack of dawn? My very own silks rig in my backyard! Y’all.. I’m saving up. There are just things that have to come first!

Pieces of the Days is a “whenever I feel like it” series where I share photos from my iPhone and talk a little bit about what is going on in day to day life! Working on making this a weekly series!
