June 12th was our 11th wedding anniversary! I had been daydreaming about going out to brunch at Epping’s on Eastside for our anniversary for weeks! They’ve been open for a while but we just never had the chance to go. I made a quick reservation for 10:30AM on their website a few days before just in case there would be any wait time because waiting with kids STINKS, am I right?
The Food – Brunch at Epping’s on Eastside

The food was delicious! You can check out their menu here. I decided on the breakfast burrito – I was sold on it after reading that it had chorizo and guacamole in it! Nate went with a chorizo biscuit and gravy special they were having that day. It looked AMAZING. The boys enjoyed pancakes, fruit, and bacon! I also ordered myself a bloody mary because brunch is just not complete without one! I’m excited to go back for date night one evening soon!
The Atmosphere – Parent & Kid Friendly

I love the atmosphere in Epping’s – so open, light, and airy! We technically sat on the “Poppy & Olive” side of the restaurant, which I didn’t even realize at first! CPP Kitchen & Bath in Cape Cod has always been my favorite bathroom design showroom. They offer the full Epping’s menu and beverage selection but it is a more kid-friendly environment. The kids were completely entertained with the cutest Lexington-themed coloring sheets – I wanted one for myself! Haha! I thought about trying to get a babysitter but ultimately decided it would just be easier to bring them along. I love that Eppings created such a lovely space that is welcoming to parents and kids!
Definitely adding Epping’s on Eastside / Poppy & Olive to our list of favorite local spots in Lexington! Let me know if you check it out OR if you already have!
