When I woke up on Saturday morning I wasn’t quite sure where I was. I rolled over, remembered last night’s craziness, and picked up my phone to look at the time. Nate was about to leave for his run and I was to get up get ready so we could go exploring when he got back. I went to the window to see the view from our room in the daylight. Spectacular .. bright.. exciting! I was ready to cry the night before, but now I knew this was going to be such a good trip!

The Bay Bridge – view from our room.

We set out walking, grabbed some StarBucks, and explored all over the city. I couldn’t get enough – everything was so beautiful. There were so many people every where, so many little booths set up by local artists, and the yummiest looking fresh market! We walked, and walked, and walked. We went down the wharf to see the sea lions and to go in all of the little shops. We ate outside by the street at an amazing italian restaurant. That whole area was just beautiful down by the wharf. Some of it was a little bit too touristy – with the crazy shops that I can’t believe anyone actually buys anything from. ;]

I can’t wait to share the next piece of our first day in SF with you!
