I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would get ‘me’ back and I suppose I have been on a mission! ❤️‍🔥

I’ve had this Anberlin tattoo floating around in my brain for yearsss. Finally talked through it with a friend, shared my ideas with @alexandratattoo , and she made them all come to ✨LIFE!✨ Had the best time enjoying several hours of girl talk, good music, and tattoo therapy with her - truly it is therapy and she is the best of the best!!!

I’m not sure I could ever put into words what Anberlin’s music has meant to me over the years. If you feel that way about music in any capacity - you get it. It’s definitely one of those ‘if you know, you know’ things. My Dad was a musician and he certainly passed that feeling down to me. Love that I carry that with me!

And now I get to carry pieces of my favorite band with me. 🖤🎶

Cohen is so sweet, kind, helpful, and smart. He loves building hot wheels tracks, setting up play areas for his little brothers, swimming, NASCAR, baseball, and never sitting still or being quiet… ever. 😆

I’m so thankful God chose me to be his mom! I love you Cohen!! Happy birthday!!

How to Make Decluttering a Habit and Take Control of Your Home

If you feel like you’re constantly buried under piles of stuff – laundry, toys, mail, and everything in between- you’re not alone. Hi – I have 4 small boys with more toys and clothes than any one family could ever need! So I should know that a cluttered home can leave you feeling anxious, overstimulated, and always behind. But the good news? You don’t need a dramatic weekend purge to see a difference. You just need a better system.

The key is to make decluttering a habit. A few minutes here and there can add up to real change. Here are five practical ways to help you declutter your home and keep it that way for the long haul.

1. Start With a Simple Plan

Before you dive in, take a minute to think about your goals. Are you looking to embrace a more minimalist lifestyle? Or do you just want your space to feel a little less chaotic?

Set realistic intentions. You might start with one area that stresses you out the most. Maybe it’s the playroom, your closet, or even the kitchen junk drawer. Planning your approach gives you direction and helps you stay motivated when you hit a wall.

2. Declutter Room-by-Room

Trying to declutter the whole house in one day? That’s a fast track to burnout. Instead, go room-by-room and focus on one space at a time.

Tackling one area allows you to be more intentional. You’re less likely to bounce around and more likely to finish the job. Once you complete a room, you get that satisfying “done” feeling. And that momentum keeps you going.

3. Make Decluttering a Habit

Decluttering doesn’t need to be a once-a-year event. The easiest way to stay ahead of the mess is to make it part of your regular routine.

Set aside just 10 minutes a day to do a quick scan of your space. Keep a bin or basket in a closet for donation items – things that no longer fit, get used, or serve your family. When it’s full, drop it off.

By choosing to make decluttering a habit, you prevent buildup and create a home that’s easier to manage every day.

4. Use Smart Storage Solutions (Including Storage Units)

One of the reasons clutter builds up is because there’s no place to put things. That’s where the right storage options can be a game changer.

Think vertically: add shelves, use under-the-bed bins, or choose furniture with hidden storage. Multifunctional furniture can help maximize space, especially if you’re working with a smaller home.

And don’t forget about storage units. For seasonal items, bulky baby gear you’re not ready to part with, or sentimental keepsakes, a well-organized storage unit can free up valuable space at home without forcing you to part with things prematurely.

5. Don’t Skip the Digital Declutter

Even though you can’t see it on your kitchen counter, digital clutter can affect your peace of mind. Take time to clean out your inbox, delete old screenshots and apps from your phone, and back up your photos to an external drive or cloud.

Making digital cleanup part of your regular reset routine can help you feel more in control, especially if your phone is where you manage work, schedules, or family photos. A digital declutter is a must!

Decluttering doesn’t have to be dramatic or time-consuming. Start small, be consistent, and choose systems that make sense for your life. When you make decluttering a habit, it becomes less of a chore and more of a lifestyle shift.

Your home should feel like a place you want to be, not a space that stresses you out. Use these tips to reclaim your space, simplify your routines, and create a home that works for your real life.
