There was also a speakeasy with a bowling alley in the hotel, so we hung out there a while listening to music and talking! ❤️❤️❤️

Mr. Beery’s

Mr. Beery's
Nate and I love living in a city with a great local beer scene, so when we go out of town we have a lot of fun scoping out new places to hang out for a bit and enjoy some craft beer! We came across Mr. Beery’s on our summer vacation to Sarasota in 2012 and we were excited to visit again during our trip this past July! I think it’s officially a summer tradition to stop in and have a beer there! A lot had changed since our last visit. We walked in and hardly knew if we were in the same place. A wall was knocked down to open up the space a bit and the overall vibe is much more modern now. We enjoyed ourselves last time, but this time around we felt like this was a place we’d hang out at a lot if we lived in the area.

I can’t wait to stop back in during our next visit to Sarasota. There’s something pretty great about hanging out at the beach all day and then going out for a beer in the evening. Ahh, the life. Oh and don’t mind my crazy Florida hair in the photo above. Humidity and I – we are wonderful friends.

This is definitely the kind of spot Scott and I would love to hang out in! San Diego has more than 220 microbreweries, so we are fortunate in that sense as well. Although I think it would be fun to travel all over the country and visit all the microbreweries we can! Also, I need a button from you: 250×100! -Jess L
