Apparently I’m living it up and celebrating Labor Day weekend by staying up all night. Once upon a time, staying up all night on the internet was a nightly activity. I don’t do it often anymore, but every now and then I’ll get completely sucked into my blog/social media outlets and just lose myself. It definitely takes me back to my teenage days! Funny how some of your same favorite things never change!
Nate and I went to the UK/Louisville game today, er, yesterday – Sunday! We stopped off at Cracker Barrel on the way (I’ve been craving it for months!), and made our way to Louisville through the remnants of Hurricane Isaac that showed up just in time for UK game day! Our walk to the stadium from the car was unpleasant, but our ponchos kept us mostly dry. It only sprinkled a few times during the actual game, which I was extremely thankful for! I expected to be drenched the entire time. Our team took quite a beating, and we bailed out before the game was even over. Nate never does that, so you know it was bad! I still had a good time with him even though we lost.
In other news, Biscuit has been unusually social lately. Freckles is like whatever and does his own thing we he gets out, but Biscuit has been all about the people love lately! He bounds excitedly back and forth on the couch between Nate and I, stops, nibbles our clothing (which means- “pet me, but DO IT RIGHT, SOFT SOFT, don’t scare me.. OH YOU SCARED ME, BYE! OH I’M BACK, TRY AGAIN!), and then finally gets comfortable with being pet until someone breathes too hard and he has to run away for a minute to have an anxiety attack about being touched by people. He wants it so bad, but he just can’t contain himself. It’s weird. Rabbits are weird. I keep meaning to write up a little section for the blog about bunnies and the weirdness that they are. So many people think rabbits are suitable pets for children and they really just aren’t. They don’t like being picked up (for the most part), they typically don’t want to be touched much, they’re super fragile regarding diet and handling, they need to get out of their cage to play every day, etc etc. So many people buy them as Easter gifts for kids and things like that and they usually end up being abandoned or neglected. :\
The last picture at the top is from my thrifting trip on Saturday. That owl lamp and owl clock have been at our peddlers mall for months and months. I think they’re cute – a little over priced though. I’m still surprised they’ve been there for so long! Our peddlers mall has been such a bummer lately. I haven’t found a single thing in there in so long, and the place is huge! It’s just one big junkfest lately and it makes me sad. I need to find a new place to look – our goodwill has been pretty awful, too.
Time for a shower and bed! Xo!
PS: Can anyone believe it’s September already?

I love the contrast of your red hair to the green. Very nice look and cool outfit. Thanks for posting the photos and feel free to drop by me too when you have time.
Ah beautiful blog! x
My goodness, such a sweet comment coming from a gal with such a gorgeous blog herself! <3
Oh wow I loved your Biscuit monologue ha! That's great that he's being so social! I'm super on the fence about getting a rabbit because I don't know for sure if they'd suit me well but I'm still considering it. I definitely wouldn't be able to take it if I got on and felt that I wasn't giving it the attention/care that it needed. I'm so glad you wrote a post about it! And I'm glad you two still had fun at the game despite the weather and your team losing. That shows a lot about you guys as a couple : )
No. Why is it September anyway? I am really going to miss no sweaters and wearing shorts.
Also, lunchtime outside: there's nothing better. I love when the summer air feels like a hot smothering blanket and you can barely breathe because the humidity is suffocating you.
I'm secretly a lizard.
Your bonbon bunny boo boo is adorable. To be honest, since I can't see his ears, I am convinced he is actually a guinea pig and your friends just don't want to break the news (I'm probably wrong). Have you ever seen a naked guinea pig though? They look like house hippos. Pretty adorable!
sounds like a great labor day – and i love your little bunny! he's so cute. and louisville is such a great city – i love their food – hope you got to get something yummy while you were there

Sounds like a great day! My bunny was EXACTLY like that, although he wasn't so much scared as "I've had enough of you now…" I got him when I was quite young but I was taught to give animals space and not pull them about so I think it worked!
