I have the MOST FUN any time I’m in front of Michelle’s camera. She is so fun to hang out with and it ends up being the best girl time + hair and makeup! Y’all know I have 4 kids and I work from home.. I don’t get to feel fancy very often! If you like laughing until your cheeks hurt (your face cheeks) and feeling 🔥 - book a shoot with her! 10/10 highly recommend.

Thank goodness for spring. 🌸 2026 has been kin Thank goodness for spring. 🌸

2026 has been kind of a weird, wild ride so far, but full of good things. I started a new job! And that has taken up a lot of my time (in a good way), so I’ve been a little bit quiet around here.

I’m trying as hard as I can to prioritize myself more these days. Finally went to the doctor and did some blood work. Turns out, I’m severely anemic. I’m hoping I’ll start feeling better and little more awake after I start my iron. 😅 Maybe I can lay off the coffee a little bit. (J/k)

I can’t believe it’s almost April after we went through 3 years of January, but I’m not mad about it! Ready to relax outside on patios with family/friends and enjoy our kiddos running around. We made it. 🖤

And he said this to his social media loving picture taking wife who is finally feeling the sunlight on her face after months of seasonal depression. 🤪 Might just turn this into a Nate appreciation account. Stay tuned.😉

The Maiedae Mixer

The Maiedae Mixer
Nate and I left late Saturday morning for our mini road trip to Rome, GA so that I could attend The Maiedae Mixer. We made it to our hotel with just enough time to spare for me to jump in and out of the shower and into my dress. As I stepped out of the car and made my way up to the building I could already see so much of the gorgeous decor through the huge windows. Nate drove away and I stood there wondering what the people passing by must have thought was going on. I couldn’t help but feel a little bit special, because I knew if I had seen it at a glance from the street I would have wanted to go to that .. whatever it was! I walked in and I was immediately greeted with hugs and a warm welcome from Jenny and Savannah. I wrote my name on a cute little wooden name tag with my shaky, nervous hand and then covered it with my hair once I pinned it on to my dress. I’ll just tell people my name, I decided. It looked like maybe I had just learned to write my name, and aren’t bloggers supposed to have pretty hand writing? ;]

Social interaction is not exactly my forte and I had only briefly met one person that would be there, Jenny, at my best friend’s wedding a few months prior. For me to have gone alone to this thing was just so .. not me. And guess what? To date, this is my favorite thing I’ve done that has been “outside of my comfort zone”. Well, other than moving to Kentucky! I feel so lucky to have been able to attend such a beautifully put together event and to have had the opportunity to connect with such sweet new friends! And while we’re on the topic of feeling lucky – I won an entire box of Rifle Paper Co. goodies during one of the raffle giveaways! Woo!!! I haven’t even mentioned the flower crown crafting station (my flower crown turned out ridic, but I love it!), the macaroons (I ate way too many), the pour over coffee (complete with delicious homemade lavender syrup), or the cheesy dancing (boy do I love the cupid shuffle). By the end of the night I was over my anxious feelings and so, so happy that I didn’t let them hold me back.

I seriously could not stop smiling as I lay in bed back at the hotel later that night, wide awake until 2am (COFFEEE and SUGARRR!!!!!), thumbing through all of the #maiedaemixer photos on Instagram.

To Savannah and Jenny – thank you for putting on such a lovely event! Every little detail was absolutely perfect. I am so happy I was able to make it and even happier to know you both in person! =) And to my husband – thank you for doing all of the driving and making the trip with me! What a magical little weekend that I’ll always treasure and never forget!

Looks like it was a lot of fun and the decorations and food alone makes it look enticing! I always feel weird at these things especially if I don't really know anybody. I went alone once not thinking anything of it, and I felt a bit awkward around some people honestly. I promised myself that I wouldn't go alone ever again! But that was just one event, so not sure if I wouldn't try it again. You ladies look beautiful and look like you really clicked, so that makes all the difference! -Jessica L

This is so wonderful. I love their designs and I was so jealous that I wasn't lucky enough to live close. I love the floral crown diy station — brilliant.
