The Birthday Girl!

H-hey! Wednesday was my birthday- in case you’ve been living under a rock and avoiding my narcissistic tweets. ;] I had it all planned out Wednesday. I would wear something blog worthy, take pictures, and post said pictures. Did this happen? Everything but the blogging part. And I will blame two very yummy margaritas for that. At least, I think that is where my migraine came from but who can ever be sure…

I scored a free $20 Groupon to Blue Agave Mexican Cantina after using a $10 coupon code that I had left over from referring a friend. After I saw “fried avocado” on their menu, I knew that this groupon would be mine! I got it back in April and had no intentions of saving it for my birthday but we’ve been very busy and haven’t had the time to use it, so Nate suggested we cash in our free $20 for my special day! I thought it sounded perfect- birthday margaritas? Yes, please!

I adore these photos, in the most non-selfinvolved way possible. I just really love the lighting. I didn’t do a darn thing to the majority of them, minus lowering the exposure a tad on just a few. This dress was a cheap find on the sale wrack in Pac Sun. The print almost looks like some sort of camouflage pattern at a distance- but I assure you it is not! My favorite part? Well, I have two. One- the fitted waist with a full skirt! Two- a dress that is LONG enough on me! I’m kind of a giant, especially in these 4 inch Heda wedges!

Blowfish Shoes, one of my lovely August sponsors, sent these babies over just in time for my birthday! When I found them on the doorstep after work last week I literally ran inside, tore the box open, ran upstairs to find Nate (in the shower), and made him open the shower door while I shoved them at him- “LOOK, LOOK! *squee*” It’s safe to say that I sort of love them. Nate was like.. YAY…. personal space…?

I can’t wait to share the photos from our little dinner date downtown. I wanted to squeeze them in to this post, but why not keep you in a little bit of suspense!? I also can’t wait to share what my sweet Husband bought me for my birthday. You MAY have caught wind of it already, via twitter or facebook.. but humor me and act surprised later on!
