Y’all! I’m so excited to be sharing a quick & easy meal prep solution with you that is now available exclusively at Kroger here in Lexington, KY! We are one of the lucky cities to get to try out Prep+Pared before it is rolled out nationally! If you know me, you know that I’m always looking for little “life hacks” to help me get things done a little more conveniently. Work smarter, not harder – right? Well, being able to pick up a meal kit packed with fresh ingredients 100% measured + prepped at a moment’s notice is just the kind of thing I need in my busy full-time working-momma life!…

For anyone who doesn’t know, Hello Fresh is a meal subscription box. You can check out all of their plan options here! The box shows up with all of the food and ingredients that you need to prepare the meals listed inside the box. It comes complete with step by step directions to cook each meal. We chose the family plan because in our experience with meal subscription boxes in the past, the portions have been on the small side. Continue reading to find out what we thought and watch the full meal prep video in which I pronounce things incorrectly and sound like a huge nerd.
This is a hilariously easy “recipe” but I always find myself googling smoothie recipes no matter how simple they are – so why not add one more to the virtual pile? =)
You Will Need:
♥ One Yoplait Light Raspberry Cheesecake Yogurt
♥ 9 oz unsweetened frozen strawberries (not thawed)
♥ One cup of almond milk (add more if consistency is too thick)
♥ A dash of vanilla extract
Make Your Smoothie!
♥ Put all of your ingredients in a blender.
♥ Blend and serve!
**This will make 2 servings (a little bit more than the amount pictured).
This isn’t exactly a recipe. I was going to make a video tutorial but then I was like… I’m pretty sure everyone can figure this one out without my squeaky little voice instructing them. Let me know if I’m wrong, y’all!
**These portion measurements are based on my personal Revolt Now Fitness diet plan for my weight vs the amount of weight I plan to loose. Nate finds that this portion is plenty for him as well, even though his plan calls for a little more!
>What You’ll Need<
ONE// Plain Greek Yogurt – We love Oikos!
TWO// Vanilla Whey Protein – We purchased this brand at our local grocery store. This is the only brand we’ve tried and it’s delicious!
THREE// Granola – We love the Bear Naked Granola – Triple Berry Crunch!
FOUR// Optional – sliced strawberries.
>The Super Simple Directions<
ONE// Spoon 1/2 cup of your plain greek yogurt into a bowl (or tupperware if you’re making a snack for tomorrow!).
TWO// Mix in 1/2 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein in with your yogurt. Mix this WELL until it is completely smooth.
THREE// Top with one table spoon of granola.
FOUR// 1/4 cup of chopped strawberries. Feel free to use frozen if you’re making it the night before – they will thaw out!
That is all there is to it and it is seriously so yummy! I have started craving this when I go a few days without having it as my midday snack! If you’re interested in learning a bit more about the Whey Protein Powder you can check out the reviews on Amazon here. I’m not a fitness guru and I don’t know all of the benefits of this stuff, but I do know that I feel 100% better after I work out since I’ve started incorporating this into my diet. It has glutamine in it which helps with muscle repair and the horrible achey feeling I used to get a day or two after a hard workout. And uh, it tastes wonderful!! It’s really not even bad just mixed with water!
Let me know if you try out this super simple and healthy snack! Make sure to check out Revolt Not Fitness if you’re interested in leading a healthier lifestyle.
