I’m coming up on my one year anniversary with Pure Romance this month. I started this little part time “job” because I thought I could make an extra hundred bucks a month for silks classes, get a discount on products I loved, and enjoy some girl time at my parties while helping other women and doing something a little outside of my comfort zone. A great kit sale came along after a few years of watching my friend wildly succeed at making this a career (think paying off all student loan debt and buying a house- a BIG house!) and I knew I had to try this out! I just wanted to make an extra $100.
Admittedly, I was kind of lazy when I started. I had my first party at my house and it was a GREAT party – I paid off my kit with ONE party. But I was lazy about my business after that. If I’m being honest, it was probably because it felt so easy to pay off my initial investment – I felt free and clear from the start. I didn’t talk about my new business a lot to anyone so I didn’t book a lot of parties. And then I threw my own pity party when money didn’t just rain down from the sky. Pure Romance isn’t *hard* but it does require you to actually try.
Fast forward to the beginning of this year. I was finally over the gross feelings of the first trimester of pregnancy and I knew I wanted to start fresh and make Pure Romance something much bigger. So I started trying. It was that simple. I started talking to people more about my business, talking about the products I loved, and asking people to book parties. They get free stuff when they book parties so the idea that I’m bothering them by asking them to book a party is kind of silly – and once I got that through my head it really helped. I let my passion for the company and products shine through in my conversations and parties and that naturally attracted other women who thought this looked like a fun job! My mind was blown. I never thought a lot about sponsoring other women into the business because that wasn’t my goal going in. I wasn’t trying to quit my full time job or make this a career. But suddenly, I realized the financial blessing I was given by my friend who introduced me to Pure Romance and I couldn’t believe how, yet again, I let the idea that I was bothering people stand in the way of offering an amazing opportunity to them.
Yesterday, I promoted to Senior Consultant within the company!! That means that I now get a $100 lifestyle bonus check every month on top of the money I make at my parties (usually between $50-$100 an hour for 3 hours of work – sometimes more), on top of a percentage of what my downline makes, on top of the FREE product I get every month. This is a huge deal for me! Remember, I originally started JUST to make an extra $100 a month! I’m putting in around 5-8 hours of “work” a week at this “part time job” on my own schedule, on my time when I have it. My sponsor just promoted to the highest level in the company – her lifestyle bonus check is a whopping $1,000 a month on top of her parties and percentages earned on her downline. It’s just baffling. This company has no limit, no ceiling on what you can do. And I haven’t even mentioned the ridiculous free trips we earn.
I’m super excited to head to National Training with my sister consultants on the 17th in Cincinnati! Three days of learning how to be better at running this little business of mine, three days of getting dressed up for fun events, three days spent with corporate trainers and our top consultants! This is perfect timing because the education and motivation that I get at this training will carry me through my maternity leave. After that, there won’t be any stopping me!
If you want to talk about becoming a consultant – seriously, reach out to me! We can email, we can Skype, we can talk on the phone – I will answer your questions openly and honestly. I want to help other women who want this for themselves. Especially those who think they could never do this. I never thought it was possible for me and now I can’t help but want it for everyone else.

I have a question that might sound odd.
My husband and I are swingers. We would like to a Pure Romance couples party. Do you do couples parties?
