What I Wore: To Nashville

Well, we are on our way to Nashville as I type this! I got off work, got ready, packed a bag, and ran out in my backyard to snap a few outfit photos in a whirlwind before jumping in the car to get on the road! We are heading down for the UK football game (note: the blue outfit!) on Saturday. We decided to leave a little early so we could have a bit of time to hang out in Nashville. We’re meeting Jackson & Kristie and will be staying with some friends tonight. I’ve never really had the chance to spend any time in Nashville so I’m pretty excited!
So these are the first outfit photos I’ve taken on my own in quite some time. My tripod still had a bit of Florida sand on it and I may have gotten a little nostalgic about it. Like, I still haven’t cleaned out the bottom of my beach bag because I’m hanging on to the sand… yeah really. Anyway, backyard outfit photos have gotten to be sort of awkward because we have so many neighbors now and they all seem to be outside all of the time. I peered out the back door and I was so happy to see that it was all clear! So I set up in my usual spot and started snapping away. I thought that there may be someone outside at the house behind us and to the left but they have a fence so I really didn’t care. Not until I noticed the neighbor man standing against the fence, looking over it, to watch me. He wasn’t even sneaky about it. I mean, come on. I really try to put myself in the place of the onlooker because – I know I’m weird and it’s weird to be taking photos of yourself in your backyard. I get it, but why can’t we all just mind our own business? I see people doing weird things all of the time and I just go on with my life. ;] Needless to say, I picked up my stuff and went inside. This is a totally awkward first world blogger rant that sounds really ridiculous and I’m aware – so, moving on. This top is a thrift find from last weekend. I almost put it down because I didn’t feel like trying it on and I am so glad I didn’t! It fits perfectly – $3 well spent! I’ve had this Forever21 skirt for a long time. It rarely gets worn until UK football season comes back around. The UK blue is perfect! Nate joked that I should have worn this to the game tomorrow but I think I’ll be more comfy in shorts and my new UK t-shirt. But tonight – people will probably be able to guess that we’re in town for the game! =)
