What I Wore · December 5, 2012

Tiffany Blue.

December 1st, 2012
I bought this dress in San Francisco at the beginning of the year and it’s only been worn a few times. I can’t say that I envisioned December being the first time I would photograph it for an outfit post, but here we are! Our weather has been unseasonably warm, and I’m starting to wonder if we’ll ever see snow again at this point. I really am not complaining though. As much as I love snow, I’m really enjoying not having to commute to work in that mess. But, a sleeveless dress and sheer tights being a clothing option in December is throwing me off a little bit! Am I back in Florida? =)

To be honest, this little dress fits quite.. oddly. Especially now that I’ve gained some weight. There’s almost no room in the thigh area, but it fits fine most everywhere else. I remember thinking the measurements were a little strange when I bought it, but it didn’t fit like this! I’m really starting to see the 10-12lbs I’ve put on since Nate and I got married and I finally feel like it’s time to set some fitness goals for myself. I’m well aware that I’m not overweight – please don’t get the wrong idea. But, I’m also sitting at a desk 8 or 9 hours a day and I’m just generally unhealthy and unfit.

December 1st, 2012
Nate and I have been going to the gym together and I’ve been running with him on the track. Obviously I can’t hang with him for long- maybe one or two laps. I walk a few laps and then I catch back up with him. I’m just proud that I’m out there trying, and I’m hoping to get to the point where I’ll be able to run a half marathon. I have no desire to run a full, but I think a half could be a really fulfilling (doable) goal to accomplish. I love the gym that we go to because it has a women’s area with it’s own machines, weights, and mats. I love going in there for a bit after I run. I highly recommend a gym with an area like that to all of the ladies out there! When we joined I really didn’t think I would care that much about it, but there’s something I really like about the smaller area. I feel less overwhelmed and plus, there are hardly ever very many people in there at a time. I’ve had the whole place to myself a handful of times! I’m excited to finally be serious about keeping up a routine. I’ve been so wishy-washy about working out in the past and I can tell I’m ready to commit to a serious change. I’m ready to feel better!

PS: There’s a new blog design up! Let me know what you think. (=

    Go Stephanie!
I love that your gym has a women's area. Sometimes I just don't WANT to hear men grunt while they gaze lovingly at their at their biceps.

Such a pretty dress, the color is absolutely stunning! I also love your pretty gold flats. K-Mart is ace! I also plan on starting some healthy goals for myself, both weight loss inspired, and also just generally eating better and getting active!

Oh it’s my favorite. I never spend more than $30 on a bag, and I spent $50 on this a few years ago. I love it so much.
