What I Wore: Turquoise Blue - THIS LEXINGTON LIFE

Whew, it has been a while since I took outfit photos. On Saturday I decided to get a little crazy and do something I’ve wanted to do for a long time – go turquoise! I’m no stranger to fun hair colors but this is probably the craziest one I’ve done yet. And I’m loving it!

I always end up looking at my wardrobe so differently when my hair is bright. I’ve never worn this pencil skirt before but it just felt like the perfect match for my new hair and my turquoise MintMONGOOSE jewelry! I also love that there is a triangle pattern on the skirt AND I’m wearing triangle shaped jewelry. Man, it’s the little things! 😀 The sparkly triangle earrings are my favorite.

These photos aren’t perfect. The light was really harsh when I took them. But I still think they’re fun! I was in a bit of a slump there for a while when it came to getting dressed and really feeling like myself. It’s easy to fall into a pattern of not caring when you just don’t feel great. It may be silly but playing around with hair color, makeup, clothing, and accessories BOOSTS my mood so much. On the days that I don’t get ready I feel so much less productive and just all around “blah”. I could go on about this but I’ll save this topic for another time! What I want to say is this: find what make you feel great in your own skin and rock it!
