St. Armands Circle

Nate took me to one of my absolute favorite places in Sarasota for a little date night while we were in Florida a few weeks ago. St. Armands Circle is near and dear to my heart because my Mom and I would always walk around the circle, eat dinner, and shop while we we were there on vacation once a year. The first year we stayed in Sarasota I met my best friend Ashley, and through her I would meet Nate and eventually move to Kentucky! Ashley and I would walk around St. Armands in our cute little skirts like we owned that place, as far from our parents as possible of course. Oh to be 13 again! Ha! I can’t actually tell you how happy I am to NEVER be 13 again. ;] Oh and by the way, I’m finding it absolutely hilarious that my sidebar photo and this photo are basically the same minus location and dress. Whoops. I’m so unoriginal with my poses!

This particular evening will always be one of my favorite parts of our trip! We ate dinner at a favorite restaurant of mine, shopped a bit (see my necklace!?), did a little bit of smooching on a park bench (hehe!), and ate macarons and gelato! And then of course I talked him into walking into the grassy area of the circle with me to take a few photos. He obliged because he’s such a sweet husband!

I bought this dress from Bealls one day while my Mom and I were out and about shopping in Sebring. It was on a super crazy sale of like, 50% off with and extra 35% off or something and then I used my Mom’s store discount on top of that. I think I paid like $8 for it in the end. I love the colors, the pleating, the pockets- everything about it! It looks very nightgown-ish without the belt though, so that’s a must have. I can’t wait to pair it with red tights, tan boots, and my turquoise cardigan for Fall! I love the challenge of making all of my clothes work in every season.
