Our house has been a baby proofed wreck for a while. Landon is into everything. We’ve fashioned gates and barricades out of dining room chairs, couch cushions, boxes – you name it – to keep him in a baby-safe zone of the house. The open floor plan was a great idea when we built this house… before we had a kid. ;]
Last night after Landon went to bed I took one look around our downstairs area and decided that I had to clean EVERYTHING. I cleaned up the barricades, put the cushions back on the couch, and gave myself my beautiful living space back – even if just for the night. I even decorated the dining room table. Nate was out of town so I spent my entire evening in a blissful state of organization. The better things looked, the more motivated I became! It was so refreshing! I have a lot more to do to get the house where I want it – but I feel great about what I accomplished this weekend!
