Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t mak Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t make it into this mix. 🎶🤘🏻 But there’s a @drpepper t-shirt so that’s even better! I’ve been having so much fun lately remixing things I’ve had for years along with a few new pieces!

Thrifting and finding a super good clearance deal = my favorite! I’m not really sure what my style is these days.. but I’m having fun playing around with it and feeling a little more like ME in what I’m wearing. Warped Tour heart, coffee shop soul vibes? ✨😆

I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, keeping up with a house, and trying to take care of everyone else… I forgot to ask myself what I actually like.

So lately I’ve been paying attention.

The clothes I want to wear.

The hobbies I want to try.

The spaces I want to create.

The things that make me feel like myself.

Maybe this is exactly what your late 30s are for. Not becoming someone new.. but remembering who you are.✨

My littlest boys are 4️⃣!! Their only birthday My littlest boys are 4️⃣!! Their only birthday demand was that we get them a Sonic the hedgehog cake! 😆

I still just sit and stare at them in disbelief sometimes.. my twin babies.. my last babies.. and somehow they’ve been here for 4 whole years. If you’re a twin mom, you know that the time passes different. The early stages are a blur in a way I don’t even know how to explain. It makes it all a bit more bittersweet.

I love you Bennett & Everett! 💙💙

Universal was a blast. I hadn’t been since I was Universal was a blast. I hadn’t been since I was a teenager and I only vaguely remembered a ride or two! There was so much to do for the littlest brothers and aside from being HOT, it was perfect.

Everett was big mad at us for taking him on the SpiderMan ride and did not trust our judgement the rest of the time. 🤣 He LOVED the 1 Fish 2 Fish ride and wanted to ride that all day.

Bennett on the other hand was all about the thrills and the Trollercoaster was his favorite. He said it was “Torrifying” but he made us all ride it with him multiple times.

I rode Velocicoaster with Nate, Landon, and Maile. And while I would do it again - for a moment I did think I might die. I only did that once. 🤣 Nate and Landon rode it multiple times. Hagrid’s was more my speed and Cohen agrees with me!

I am a Disney girl at heart! But Disney doesn’t have a *real life* baby dinosaur that you can pet sooo there’s some competition. 😆

We Married Young V.13

Today I have a lovely new installment of We Married Young to share with you! It’s been long enough, right?! Meet Whitney of Everything Happens For A Reason and her hubby, David. Nate and I recently went out on a little double date with them and had such a great time! I hope you enjoy Whitney’s words of newlywed wisdom!

1. First of all, tell us how long have you been married and how old were the two of you when you tied the knot?

As of February 11, 2012, my hubby and I have been married eight months. When we got married, I was 25 years old and my hubby was 22 years old.

2. Tell us a little backstory! How did you and your Husband meet and how long did you date before getting married?

To make a long story short, I met through one of my ex’s friends. To read the complete story, you can go read: this post. Our first date was on July 13, 2009, but our first ‘official’ date as girlfriend and boyfriend wasn’t until August 22, 2009. We then got engaged on December 24, 2010. Since we wanted a spring/summer wedding, we decided to have a short engagement and set the date for June 11, 2011.

3. Some people might say you got married a little too young – did you receive any negative feedback on your choice to get married at a younger age or were you surrounded by support?

We didn’t have negative feedback about getting married at the ages we did. We were surrounded by support from family and friends.

4. This is the time in our lives when most of us twenty-somethings are truly finding ourselves and our purpose, through education or by other means. Have you found it harder or easier to work toward your goals as a married woman?

I’ve found it easier. All throughout the majority of our relationship, I was in graduate school to complete my master’s degree. He supported all throughout this endeavor. Since I graduated, my hubby let me quit a job that I was miserable at, so I would be happier. Also, so I could concentrate on my true passions and what I want to do in life.

5. Life is fast paced when you’re trying to accomplish so many things and maintain a vibrant and fulfilling marriage at the same time! Do you have any tips on staying connected to your significant other with so much going on?

Always no matter how busy we are, we always make time to spend together. It could be a phone conversation, dinner, or watching a tv show.

6. What are your favorite things to do as a married couple? Have those things changed a lot or stayed the same since the dating days?

Some of our favorite things to do as a married couple are to watch television, cook, and play with our dog together. Something that hasn’t changed is our love of travel. The only things that we do more of, now that we are married are cooking at home, instead of eating out. Right after we got married, we adopted a dog, so he is a new addition to our family.

7. Did getting married change anything (relationships, lifestyle, etc.) in your life that surprised you at all?

Nothing really changed that surprised us.

8. Are the first few years really the hardest?

As of February 11, we will have been married eight months. As of now, nothing has really been that hard. When we were dating, we were inseparable and spent just about everyday with each other. We even lived together for a few months, before we got married. With us, we know what to expect and there really are no surprises.

9. And of course, everyone is just dying to know! When will there be babies?

Not anytime soon, maybe when I’m at least 28 or 29. Hopefully, no later than 30.

10. Lastly, if you could give one piece of advice to a young couple who were thinking of getting hitched, what would it be?

I would tell them to not put a television in their bedroom. No, no, no, it’s not for the reasons you think. Life can be busy, and it can be hard at times to talk or find time to be alone. Right before going to bed, gives the perfect opportunity for conversation. It is something that possibly could be missed when going through the daily routine.

Love that last one, we actually don't have a TV in our house at all for that very reason, to make sure to stop and take time to chat and cuddle. So funny they met through her ex & I can't wait to read more about their story, it's rare you see an age diff w/ the guy being younger : ) http://dusanabotswana.com
