He’s the happiest baby! He loves to play on his little play mat and will stay there for 30-40 minutes just kicking, cooing, and laughing. He smiles nonstop and has started a new thing where he’ll do something and then immediately look at me like, “SEE WHAT I DID!”. He’s started noticing the TV and stares at it if its on (oh boy) and will giggle and “talk” to it if we play something he really likes (like Veggie Tales or Thomas). He’s starting to be really chatty and wants to tell us lots of stories! Especially when I put him in his bouncy seat in the bathroom while I take a shower- he has lots to say about that!
He has recently decided that bottles are not for him. He was switching back and forth just fine between nursing and a bottle… and then… a switch flipped in his brain and bottles became evil and not to be trusted. We didn’t realize how dire the situation really was until I left to do a Pure Romance party for a few hours and Nate ended up having to syringe feed him breast milk to get him to eat and stop screaming. Ooyyyy. I love nursing him but lawd have mercy. I really hope we can get this figured out!
All in all? I’m really enjoying this wild and ridiculous roller coaster ride called motherhood. It’s challenging and heartbreaking at times but most of the time it’s pretty great. (Read: the best thing I’ve ever done with my life.)
