We had our first baby shower (of two) yesterday! This was our family shower thrown by my Mother-in-law and Mom. It was amazing. I’m feeling so much more at ease now that we have more things for baby boy. I was so tired when I got home yesterday but I stayed up in the nursery for hours going through everything, organizing, and putting it in it’s place (until it’s time to do all of the baby laundry)! I just couldn’t help it! The nursery actually looks like a nursery now and I can’t get over it. I walk in there and just stare around the room in awe.
BUT, I’m getting off topic. The shower – yes – it was perfect. Having my Mom here without the hassle of flights and trip arrangements is SO wonderful. She was able to help plan the shower and just BE here and that all still feels like a dream to me. So many friends and family came to bring bebe something and hang out. The food was amazing – so many of my favorite things! My Sister-in-law Kristi made the beautiful cake. The top tier was butter pecan and the bottom was white chocolate raspberry – YUM. She is so talented. And everyone brought/made the most wonderful, thoughtful gifts! I was just blown away at all of the love for our family and our sweet baby! I absolutely just can’t wait until he is here! PS: I feel like I look like a melted mess in these pictures – but ah well, don’t all pregnant women in their 3rd trimester? Shew.
