A Bridal Show

A Bridal Show
On Sunday I went to a bridal show here in town with Brittany and another of her bridesmaids, Tiffany. Did I mention that my friend Brittany is getting married? She is, in June of next year! Did I also mention that another of my best friends, Ashley, is getting married in March? So I’m in full on Matron Of Honor/Bridesmaid mode. Pretty odd for me, considering I’ve never been in a wedding ever, other than .. you know .. the one that I got married in. So now I’m catching up, full speed!

I never made it to a bridal show during the time that I was planning my wedding. It was fairly pointless to go to something like that here when all of my vendors were going to need to be in Florida. My Mom and my Step-Dad won a free photography package for Nate and I at a bridal show in my hometown though, which was awesome! They basically made it all happen since I was so far away from my wedding destination, so I’m eternally grateful to them for that!

Two of the booths caught my eye! The photos above are from The Pretty Plate and these below are from Events With Design. They were both set up so perfectly, but The Pretty Plate sort of stole my heart! It never occurred to me that you could rent vintage items for weddings and parties. You’re probably all staring at me with a blank expression right now, but I really hadn’t thought of that! What a genius idea though, right?!

The people at the classy boudoir photography booth gave us champagne. Or rather, sparkling grape juice. I’d never had champagne and I was like, “THIS IS GOOD.” .. and then we saw the bottle. Ha! Fooled. I realize that they probably couldn’t just go around handing out alcohol and that we probably don’t look old enough to get away without being carded if they were. It was yummy and fizzy just the same!

A Bridal Show
Have you been to any bridal shows? I thought it was fun to go and browse with the girls, but most of what I saw didn’t seem very practical for a wedding on a budget! Some of the dresses that were there were just amazing – but again, way out of the typical girl’s price range. I think Brittany will agree that the small sample of pistachio cake that we had made it well worth our time though, even if it was the tiniest bite! Yum!

Ha ha, I went to a bridal show in my old home town. My mom and MIL went with me and it was hilarious. They gave you a sticker for each booth you visited so you could turn in the sheet of stickers at the end and be entered into a raffle. Every time I was asking questions at a booth I'd hear my mom and MIL in the background asking "Did he give her a sticker?" "I don't think he did. He needs to give her that sticker." "Did you give her her sticker?" "She needs her sticker sir. Now."
I guess it was good though, because I won the raffle!

I haven't even heard of a bridal show. Winning a photography package? That is way cool!
I'm out of the loop too. I didn't know you could rent vintage items either.. hopefully I remember this in the future.

Ohh, that looks like a really pretty bridal show! I probably would have though the sparkling juice was champagne too 🙂
I've never been to any, but my friend is also getting married next year so I'm anticipating going to a few in the coming months!

Oh my gosh, so many pretty things to look at. I would love to go to a bridal show, it sounds like a lot of fun. I think I'd spend the whole time snapping pictures like crazy, haha. 🙂

While the problem here is only that teachers give different task to their students in the way as if it is punishment for them. In which students do never feel any attraction for them.
