Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t mak Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t make it into this mix. 🎶🤘🏻 But there’s a @drpepper t-shirt so that’s even better! I’ve been having so much fun lately remixing things I’ve had for years along with a few new pieces!

Thrifting and finding a super good clearance deal = my favorite! I’m not really sure what my style is these days.. but I’m having fun playing around with it and feeling a little more like ME in what I’m wearing. Warped Tour heart, coffee shop soul vibes? ✨😆

I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, keeping up with a house, and trying to take care of everyone else… I forgot to ask myself what I actually like.

So lately I’ve been paying attention.

The clothes I want to wear.

The hobbies I want to try.

The spaces I want to create.

The things that make me feel like myself.

Maybe this is exactly what your late 30s are for. Not becoming someone new.. but remembering who you are.✨

I still just sit and stare at them in disbelief sometimes.. my twin babies.. my last babies.. and somehow they’ve been here for 4 whole years. If you’re a twin mom, you know that the time passes different. The early stages are a blur in a way I don’t even know how to explain. It makes it all a bit more bittersweet.

I love you Bennett & Everett! 💙💙

Brick Alley

Brick Alley

After we took photos of Year of October downtown we walked to a little hole in the wall local joint to have dinner and catch up! Once we were done and on our way back to the car I coaxed Nate into running in to a back alley with me to take a few photos of my outfit. He really is a trooper. We spotted this location from the sidewalk and I think I may have actually danced a little when I saw what was back there. It’s probably one of my favorite places I’ve ever taken photos – ever. I’m thinking the top floors serve as apartments or something judging by the dress hanging in the window of the below left picture. I love that little bit of detail – I didn’t even notice it when we were taking the pictures! Nate has gotten really, really good with my camera hasn’t he? Gosh! I’m blown away!

I decided to get a little fancy with these by making a collage and drawing all over them with my outfit details, and I even added a few lyrics that I’m loving lately. Isn’t it funny how you can dig out a CD in your car that you haven’t heard in a year or two, pop it in, and feel like you’ve time warped? I have the strangest taste in music. I like so many different genres that it’s sort of ridiculous. On that topic- I want to see Merle Haggard so badly this coming August. Birthday present to myself? I’m really hoping to make it to a few different shows this summer. Nate and I used to go to so many, but life’s responsibilities keep us at home these days! I kind of can’t believe we’re going to miss Bunbury in Cincinnati … Weezer, Death Cab, The Gaslight Anthem, Manchester Orchestra…. need I go on? We are never NOT here, and during this festival we will be in Florida. I’ll try not to complain. FLORIDA. We leave on the 6th – home is so close!

Have you checked out the bags from Sienna Ray, yet? I am absolutely in love with mine. It appears quite small but I can actually fit my DSLR in this baby. It’s not a comfortable fit, but if I need to take it with me it’s do-able. I especially love the adjustable chain strap – it goes from shoulder bag to a cross-body in seconds! Love!

Have a great Friday, friends! My car has no air conditioning and the high today is 103* .. YAY!
