Thrifting and finding a super good clearance deal = my favorite! I’m not really sure what my style is these days.. but I’m having fun playing around with it and feeling a little more like ME in what I’m wearing. Warped Tour heart, coffee shop soul vibes? ✨😆

I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, keeping up with a house, and trying to take care of everyone else… I forgot to ask myself what I actually like.

So lately I’ve been paying attention.

The clothes I want to wear.

The hobbies I want to try.

The spaces I want to create.

The things that make me feel like myself.

Maybe this is exactly what your late 30s are for. Not becoming someone new.. but remembering who you are.✨

I still just sit and stare at them in disbelief sometimes.. my twin babies.. my last babies.. and somehow they’ve been here for 4 whole years. If you’re a twin mom, you know that the time passes different. The early stages are a blur in a way I don’t even know how to explain. It makes it all a bit more bittersweet.

I love you Bennett & Everett! 💙💙

What I Wore · June 13, 2012

Blueberry & Coral

I wore this outfit for the first time on Saturday when we went out after the the race. It’s been in my closet for a few months, and it even went to San Francisco with me- but it wasn’t exactly feeling like Summer when we were there! My hair was a crazy mess after being out in the sun all early afternoon, and you all don’t want to even know about my bright blonde roots! So I threw in a side braid and covered up the mess with a hat- tada!

Nate took these photos for me on our way out to play trivia with friends at one of our favorite local pubs. We stopped off in the trusty little park near our house where I’ve started taking a ton of my photos. There are so many perfect locations to choose from there! Nate took all of these and I love how they turned out. He’s turning into a regular photographer! I mentioned this on twitter and had a few people respond saying they thought that he took all of my photos- but nope! I usually parade around with a tripod setup – which looks far crazier than having another person there taking pictures of me, I might add. He’s probably going to wish he hadn’t impressed me so much with these because now I’m going to make him take them for me all of the time. It was just so much more fun that way, too!

The low back on this top is something I absolutely love! It’s hard to tell in the pictures (I think) but my shoulders and a small part of the top of my back got super sunburned in San Francisco and it was still looking pretty awful when I wore this. I wanted to wear it so badly that I really didn’t care how it looked. ;] This is actually a bodysuit – which seemed like a good idea when I bought it – but proved to be very annoying every time I went to the public restroom at the pub. It’s very tricky to hang on to your skirt while you’re trying to completely disrobe in a tiny stall JUST to ..ya know.. go. Somehow I always find a way to direct the topic at hand to something that seems like too much information. You’re welcome.

I’m wearing: Rose Painter’s Studs c/o Poshlocket, tiny nautical knot studs from H&M, Bodysuit + Skirt + Hat via Forever21, a diamond necklace (family heirloom), and blue moccasins from Aerie.

I love it all, but I think the shoes and earrings really pull this adorable outfit together. =]

Thank you dear! The earrings are my favorite! They always get lost in all of my hair though.

I know the top is pink but how cute would this be for a 4th of July outfit?! Plus your hair adds red in there! 😉

Yes!! I thought of that- well that it looked very patriotic. I felt like I should be carrying one of those little american flags on a stick! It's more orangey pink in person so I think it goes. 🙂 … Now what will I wear on fourth of July? Hmm.

I love the outfit and that beautiful hat. You make color look amazing with your beautiful hair. Hats are my number one way to hide messy/gross/bad hair. Wonderful trick!

Aw, thank you! I really do love getting an extra day out of my hair with a hat! 😉 I can’t believe I used to think I wasn’t a hat person…
