I am absolutely giddy to be featured on one of my favorite style blogs, made up by 12 of my favorite style bloggers! So to say I am a tad bit excited is kind of an understatement!! (READ: I was told it will be up today, so check periodically because I’m not sure what time exactly that it will post!)
On to the outfit post…
I picked up this dress during our three day weekend getaway to Chicago back in May, and it has stayed in my closet tags intact until now! I know that it’s silly, but I kind of love buying a few things and letting one of them stay unworn until just the perfect occasion. Sometimes that “occasion” turns out to simply be one of those days when I just don’t want to wear anything I’ve already worn before, and that was exactly what happened with this pretty little Forever21 dress!
The Forever21 in Chicago is huge- 2 or 3 stories (see, it was so overwhelming that I can’t even remember!). This dress managed to jump out of the chaos and into my arms along with 3 or 4 others. When I saw it, I kind of thought it looked like Fall and even though we were barely into Spring at the time (it was like 40-50 degrees in Chicago that weekend!) I had to have it.
I paired it with my new cardigan from Francesca’s when Brittany and I went in and out of stores on Saturday morning. She stayed the night with me Friday night while Nate was out of town and we just had a little bit of a girl weekend. Love those! We strolled around Marshall’s for almost two hours, tried on a handful of clothes, and left empty handed. ;] It was kind of a relief honestly, so we celebrated not spending money by eating out for lunch. (heh.. I love my money logic!)
