Well, it’s Thursday again! It’s kind of baffling, honestly, because I could swear I was just writing my last Thankful Thursday entry. The weeks and months seem to be flying by and I’ve felt that way since the beginning of the year. Everyone gets in such a hurry for things, but I think we need to slow down! =) Our wedding and honeymoon definitely proved that to me- I’ve never seen anything fly by that fast in my life!
But, moving on! This week I’m thankful for:

(I thought this picture was cute, however- I make money based on how fast I work so it doesn’t quite work for me! But I still like it!)
Typically this would be a frustrating thing, right? Because getting to leave work early = less money. Well, yes and no. At my job- the Summer months are pretty slow going and in the Winter it picks up a lot. So in my mind it balances out. I work 10AM to 7PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, which are pretty long days in my book! But, I get through them during the Summer months because I know that Wednesday is going to be an early day.. and Thursday most likely will be too. It’s just a nice pick me up and it’s one of those things that makes me want to go in to work- “If I can just make it to Wednesday!” .. I also am thankful that I am usually in control of what time I will get off on these days. The volume of the mail determines it, of course, but- how fast I am willing to work is the true factor because once my work is done I am free to go! It’s really a perfect fit for someone with my personality. Sometimes I just need little pushes and small incentives to get me through something I’d rather not do.. and who wouldn’t rather just not go to work on a sunny day when they have a new house? Haha. The Winter months are usually easier to stay at work for longer hours and not care… but now that we have our own cozy house… who knows!

(not my iPod!)
Okay, okay- you might think this is a stupid thing to be thankful for.. but, I never said it was always going to be serious thankfulness. But yes- speaking of WORK- I am thankful for my iPod. My iPod gets me through my work day.. it has gotten me through very long car rides.. and I bebop to it daily on my way to wherever I am going in my car. I don’t dislike the radio quite like my Husband does.. and I may or may not know all of the words to this song. I see some of you judging me, but sometimes you just need to dance-dance-dance-dance, K? But yeah, I’m usually a music snob and my iPod is filled with music the apparently hardly anyone has heard of. I should make a playlist.. I’m sure I have similar musical tastes to a few of my readers and it’d be fun to find them! 😀 iPod= love. PS: is 5 years old for an iPod? I think I may need a new one..
You know when you meet someone and they’re just a real person- genuine and fun to be around? Warm hearted, willing to admit their humanness, and strong in their beliefs and goals. Not someone perfect or someone with all of the answers, but someone who is strong in their Faith and knows how to share it the right way. I know someone who fits that description, and right now (I believe) he is in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on one of his many stops around the world on The World Race! I’m thankful for people like Daniel, because he is really living his Faith. I’m not saying that anyone who truly believes in God should have to sell all of their belongings and go across the world like he did – not at all. But there are a select few people out there that just care that much about other people, and it’s really great to know someone like that. =) It’s something that I am truly thankful for!
And as a side note, you should all watch his video updates via YouTube! Here is the first one at the beginning of his trip:

I really like these posts. Maybe I’ll start doing my themed blogs again. I don’t know…
I love. My. iPod. So. MUCH.
I would not get through the work day without him.
That picture about your work pace is my theory. Some weeks I have VERY little work so I have to spread it out by working slowly so I’ll still have work to pretend to be busy in the afternoons. It’s not that I WANT to slack off, it’s that I have to look busy regardless of whether I have work or not, so I might as well spread it out and have actual work to look busy later on.
I like your hours. I’ve always said I don’t think I’d mind working later in the evening if I didn’t have to come in so early.
