I was feeling overwhelmingly thankful when I woke up this morning and when I realized it was Thursday I knew I had to blog about it!
1. Almost one entire year of marriage to the most amazing Husband I could ask for!!
Nate and I are leaving for a little trip to the Northern Ohio area this weekend for a Saves The Day/Get Up Kids show and a lovely stay in the most luxurious hotel I will have ever set foot in. We’re celebrating our one year anniversary a little bit early in anticipation of spending most of the weekend of June 12th with our good friend Daniel. Not only is that also his birthday (and Brittany’s!) but he’s returning from “The World Race” (I talked about it in a previous Thankful Thursday post!). We haven’t seen him in a year so I know we’ll be pretty busy celebrating over that weekend- thus the reason for our little trip this weekend instead! I can’t wait to post photos of where we’re staying! *squee*
2. Other bloggers who make this little community so fun!
Seriously- since starting my weekly feature on young marriage I’ve received such great feedback. It’s a little difficult for me to contact people I don’t know and to reach out in that way. I’m a little shy even on the internet! ;] But of the people that I’ve talked to so far and gotten to know because of this blog I’ve only been met with sweet and wonderful responses! That really means a lot to me and I feel so thankful for all of the friendships I wouldn’t otherwise have.
3. New opportunities!
I can’t disclose any real information about what kind of opportunity exactly, but just cross your fingers with me! I’ve been waiting for this for a while, and to be able to see it on the horizon is a little bit beyond exciting! Let’s hope I didn’t just jinx myself…
4. Summer warmth outside my door.
I may complain now and then that it’s a little too hot- but when I walk out of my frigid place of work and slide into the drivers seat of my baking hot car I feel a type of happiness I can’t replace. For about 2 minutes. And then I have to turn the AC on full blast. But those first 2 minutes are amazing.
5. New music and a new iPhone with which to carry it!
My iPhone 4 has become a very serious addiction. I have always had a phone addiction- don’t get me wrong. But there is something majorly different about my love for this particular phone that I have not previously experienced. It’s just… a beautiful relationship. ;] I can now keep my music on my phone if I wish and actually listen to it without my battery going down to 30% in 10 minutes because of it. I listened to music for about 3 or 4 hours today, responded to an email or two, text a few different people, and my battery is at 93% right now. IT’S BLOWING MY MIND FRIENDS. Like, I can’t wrap my head around that. My old phone was at 93% 5 minutes after I unplugged it from a night of charging!
In celebration of basically having a new iPod I went on the hunt for new music and realized that two of my favorite bands have new albums out. Death Cab For Cutie – Codes and Keys and Manchester Orchestra – Simple Math. These are the only two albums that I’ve put on my iPhone so far and I’ve just been alternating them back and forth at work because they’re that good.
