Our sweet baby boy, Landon Timothy, was born on March 14th, 2015 at 10:57PM (7lbs 14 oz and 20 inches long)- one week ago yesterday! We are so completely in love with him! He is a very calm and relaxed baby so far. It’s amazing how much we’ve already learned about each other in one short week. Everything from his little queues and cries to how to trick him into sleeping in his bassinet by our bed. Making sure we can lay down in our bed at night and get some real sleep between feedings and diaper changes has been the key to our sanity. Nate has been amazing in every way possible. I always knew he would be a great Dad and a wonderful support system during labor but he has truly gone above and beyond. People always say you fall more in love with your spouse after you have kids and that has been so true for me.
We are so lucky to have so many family members and friends around us at this time. We have definitely not gone without meals or help when we’ve needed it – so thankful! The last couple of days we’ve gotten more into a routine of sorts. We’ve had a few trips out of the house to Target and Meijer, gone for a walk in the neighborhood, and today we ventured out to a new coffee shop downtown. I’ve definitely “bounced back” quicker than I thought I would and have just been ready to get out of the house a little bit!
I can’t wait to type out the details of labor and delivery, to share our maternity photos, to put together a list of some of the baby products we’re loving so far, etc. So many fun little details that deserve their own posts!
