Reading that description makes me want to get some creativity flowing in this space and on my blog again, though! I’ve just been working and mom’ing - but I miss creating!

Thoughts on Pregnancy: 38 Weeks – FULL TERM!

Maternity Photo & Mother's Day 2015
I was full term last week at 37 weeks and I’ll be 38 weeks tomorrow! Wahoo! I’m definitely at the point where I’m feeling like it’s time for this baby to come OUT. I’ve been in full on nesting mode and I’ve gotten a lot done around the house – thank goodness. I thought the nesting bug would never bite me! I don’t think I’ll get every single thing in the house to the point where I feel that it’s perfect but at least I’m feeling more at ease overall. I had been so lazy there for a while!

This past weekend we finally managed to get quite a bit done that I had on my list of to-dos: shopping for some things for the hospital bag, a few last minute items for the nursery, and we took our hospital tour on Sunday! Ahh – a sigh of relief! I still come up with a new list every day and I keep thinking – “OKAY, he can’t can’t come until I get ____ done!” Ha! In that case, I’ll be pregnant forever. Just gotta let some stuff go! And if we don’t have something that is a necessity – we will just get it when we realize, right?!

Mother’s Day was wonderful. It felt super weird to celebrate it for myself! I just don’t feel like a Mom yet, if that makes sense! I do but I don’t! I’m in a weird in between stage, ya know? Nate bought me tulips (my favorite) and took me out to brunch at First Watch before our hospital tour. Later in the afternoon we went over to my Mother-in-law’s to see her and my Mom! It was so nice to be able to SEE my MOM on Mother’s Day. That hasn’t happened in a long time! I got the chance to get in the pool while I was over there and it was GLORIOUS. I laid on my stomach for the first time in about 8 months. It was the most comfortable and relaxed I’ve been in so, so long. I could have stayed in there forever.

Well – this could be the last time I blog before this cute little bebe wiggle worm is born! I can’t believe we’re so close. I can’t believe we’re about to be parents. The time has gone by so fast and so slow at the same time. I am so ready for this. I’m “prepared” but I know there is just no way to know what this whole labor and delivery event will truly be like – but I’m ready because I know I’ve got Nate to support me and love me through it. He is going to be the best Dad and I can’t *wait* to see him hold his baby for the first time. I am so lucky to be his wife and I’m so blessed to have him as my support system. I’m so excited for our little family to become 3! <3

Eeek!! So excited for you!! There is nothing like this little space of time, when you feel like it could happen at any minute! And I totally get the feeling of "he can't come until ___ happens." My struggle was the car seat! I had to have it professionally installed 🙂

I’m so happy for you and Nate, and can’t wait to be a grandma to this sweet little miracle!
