Pregnancy, What I Wore · January 1, 2015

A Christmas Outfit

18 Weeks Pregnant

Over the past few weeks I’ve sort of given in to the pregnancy uniform of leggings and sweaters. I bought a few pieces of maternity clothing and they were so comfy, so I started wearing them constantly. And then… I really started to miss my regular clothes. I used to wear a dress every day! I’ve realized that a lot of my dresses can still accommodate the bump at this point so I should probably wear them while I can! I’ve actually rediscovered some items that I haven’t worn in over a year because I was tired of them or felt like they just didn’t fit right but they happen to work especially well right now, so they are my new favorites! This dress is one of those! See, there is a method to my hoarding tendencies!

Nate snapped these pictures in the backyard over at his Mom’s house on Christmas Day. We decided not to do presents this year. Check thelockboss. We got our record cabinet fixed and bought some new records instead. Plus, we knew we would be going on a family trip to Washington D.C. the day after Christmas and wanted to save a bit. We did buy our sweet baby boy a few onesies and he received a few gifts from all of the grandparents as well! He is already so loved (and so stylish)!

I am super excited to dig through the rest of my closet and come up with some new outfits to share in the new year! It’s really fun to feel inspired again and to find new ways to wear things during this time!

Whose hair matches their dress?! Übercool!
If leggins with sweaters are the pregnancy uniform than I'm like a mother of 19 kids because that's what I wear all the time, especially in winter! haha

Hahaha! I totally wore leggings and sweaters all of the time in the winter before I was pregnant, too! But I started to feel a little bored when I felt like that was ALL I had to wear. I still need my dresses! 😀

I’m due any day and I still wear some of my pre-pregnancy dresses! They are so much more stylish and who doesn’t want to look pretty while sporting a cute baby bump!? Your dress is adorable! Happy 2015!!

Dresses are awesome for baby bellies. They can actually go a good distance into the pregnancy before they look like they don't fit 😉 When it got to that point for me, I just got some maxi dresses in a slightly bigger size to accommodate the giganticness. You look lovely lady. I am so excited that you're having a son!

Yes they are!! I'm really hoping to be able to wear them for a while, and then I may take your advice and get a few that will work when I get bigger! I have a feeling I will want the comfiest clothing on the planet at that point. 😉 Thank you so much for the compliment, Claudia! <3 We are sooooo excited too!
