I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would get ‘me’ back and I suppose I have been on a mission! ❤️‍🔥

I’ve had this Anberlin tattoo floating around in my brain for yearsss. Finally talked through it with a friend, shared my ideas with @alexandratattoo , and she made them all come to ✨LIFE!✨ Had the best time enjoying several hours of girl talk, good music, and tattoo therapy with her - truly it is therapy and she is the best of the best!!!

I’m not sure I could ever put into words what Anberlin’s music has meant to me over the years. If you feel that way about music in any capacity - you get it. It’s definitely one of those ‘if you know, you know’ things. My Dad was a musician and he certainly passed that feeling down to me. Love that I carry that with me!

And now I get to carry pieces of my favorite band with me. 🖤🎶
Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohe Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohen! He rolled his eyes at me when I said it’s crazy that he went from 6…to 7! If you know you know.

Cohen is so sweet, kind, helpful, and smart. He loves building hot wheels tracks, setting up play areas for his little brothers, swimming, NASCAR, baseball, and never sitting still or being quiet… ever. 😆

I’m so thankful God chose me to be his mom! I love you Cohen!! Happy birthday!!

I have the MOST FUN any time I’m in front of Michelle’s camera. She is so fun to hang out with and it ends up being the best girl time + hair and makeup! Y’all know I have 4 kids and I work from home.. I don’t get to feel fancy very often! If you like laughing until your cheeks hurt (your face cheeks) and feeling 🔥 - book a shoot with her! 10/10 highly recommend.

Thank goodness for spring. 🌸 2026 has been kin Thank goodness for spring. 🌸

2026 has been kind of a weird, wild ride so far, but full of good things. I started a new job! And that has taken up a lot of my time (in a good way), so I’ve been a little bit quiet around here.

I’m trying as hard as I can to prioritize myself more these days. Finally went to the doctor and did some blood work. Turns out, I’m severely anemic. I’m hoping I’ll start feeling better and little more awake after I start my iron. 😅 Maybe I can lay off the coffee a little bit. (J/k)

I can’t believe it’s almost April after we went through 3 years of January, but I’m not mad about it! Ready to relax outside on patios with family/friends and enjoy our kiddos running around. We made it. 🖤

And he said this to his social media loving picture taking wife who is finally feeling the sunlight on her face after months of seasonal depression. 🤪 Might just turn this into a Nate appreciation account. Stay tuned.😉

Slow Weekends

My Favorite Light
Nate and I have been go, go, go the past couple of weeks. Last Sunday was kind of a slow day and it felt just right after a long day of tailgating with friends. Nate got up and did his normal ridiculously early things and I slept in. He came back to “take a nap” though, and we stayed in our dimly lit room well into the afternoon. Is there anything better than taking some time to just roll around in and out of consciousness with your favorite person in the middle of the day? No. No there isn’t. This past week went by fairly quickly and I found myself waking up to another weekend today. Saturday started early for me. I was up at 9AM for aerial classes and home by noon. When I pulled into the driveway today I marveled at my pretty little front porch. I bought gorgeous golden colored mums last night and put them in my hanging baskets. I hung up my tiny little fall wreath this evening and sat outside for a while in the crisp air. Fall has officially moved in and I feel like these photos are the last bits of summer.

I’ve been trying to step back and make time for everything important. Truly important. I see so many people sleepwalking through their daily routines, not making time for anything but their worries. Y’all stop it, okay? Make a conscious choice to call up someone who’d be surprised to hear from you, to go run around outside with your camera, to take a class, to twirl around in a pretty dress, to figure out how to make better iced coffee at home than you can get at a coffee shop, to cook and eat delicious meals every night a couple of times a week, to make at least ONE of those DIY’s you’ve pinned on Pinterest… I’m talking to myself, too. Fill every minute that you are awake with something good, something that makes you feel alive. But then give yourself a little break if you never get to those Pinterest pins, because we’re never going to have time to make all of that shit, are we?

Tonight we are at home – hanging out, watching football, doing yoga, having a few beers, relaxing. I’m enjoying the simplicity of it because I know the next few weekends will be filled with weddings and trips out of town. Lots of things to look forward to but lots of time spent on the move! Have a great weekend friends!

PS: I’m thinking of using my Tumblr a bit more again. Do you have a Tumblr? Leave your link in the comments!

You caught me. I definitely sleepwalk through my daily routine and drown in my worries quite a lot. I'm sort of in a life rut but hopefully things will change soon. I love that you talked about hanging in bed in the middle of the day with someone you love. I miss doing that! It's on the to-do list once we move in together – again.
Anyway, you look super pretty here and these pictures turned out great! Your hair is gorgeous!
