365 Days of Marriage in 2014 – Day 6

365 Days of Marriage in 2014 - Day 6
Nate and I decided to get a Keurig for Christmas and I think it’s safe to say that we’re pretty obsessed with it. We bought the reusable filter to brew our own coffee in and I’ve been using it to make the perfect amount of instant hot water for chai tea lattes. I thought a lot about getting a fancy little espresso machine but I think the Keurig was a good choice for us. It’s easy for Nate to make a quick cup on the go and be out the door at 6AM.

Do you have a Keurig? I used to think they were overrated, until I stayed with my parents and used theirs every single morning for a week or so. Basically anything that makes my life slightly easier can win me over without much effort. Heh!

PS: How snazzy does that scarf look on him? Shew!

Fun story, my coworker gave me her Keurig! Her husband has ulcers and can't drink coffee anymore and I said I had been wanting one so she gave me here for free. I love it!

Dang!! I would have loved to have gotten one for free. Lucky you!! So sad for her husband though… if I ever have ulcers I'll probably just keep drinking coffee. *addict status*

I love that I can still brew the whole bean coffee that I love, BUT if I'm feeling super lazy I can just use a kcup. 🙂

I think they're a little overrated just because if you buy the k-cups they are way too expensive. I've had a Keurig for years and just use the reusable filter and put my own grounds in it. I've only bought 2-3 boxes of the k-cups since I've had it.

I agree, the k-cups are a little outrageous. If we buy them it will be when they're on super sale! I like the ease of making a single cup. Gone are the days of trying to use my giant pot of coffee to make one cup. Hooray.

I don't drink coffee, so I don't have one, but I have used a tasimo before and didn't mind it.

ps. i just noticed you don't have knobs on your kitchen cupboards. how different.

Ooh I'd love to have a coffee maker, but I can't function without a good cup of tea in the morning 🙂

I love using my mom's Keurig when I'm back home. She has those reusable cups and it's wonderful being able to make one cup of coffee at a time. Not to mention the hot water button for when I want a cup of tea. They're awesome.
