I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would get ‘me’ back and I suppose I have been on a mission! ❤️‍🔥

I’ve had this Anberlin tattoo floating around in my brain for yearsss. Finally talked through it with a friend, shared my ideas with @alexandratattoo , and she made them all come to ✨LIFE!✨ Had the best time enjoying several hours of girl talk, good music, and tattoo therapy with her - truly it is therapy and she is the best of the best!!!

I’m not sure I could ever put into words what Anberlin’s music has meant to me over the years. If you feel that way about music in any capacity - you get it. It’s definitely one of those ‘if you know, you know’ things. My Dad was a musician and he certainly passed that feeling down to me. Love that I carry that with me!

And now I get to carry pieces of my favorite band with me. 🖤🎶
Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohe Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohen! He rolled his eyes at me when I said it’s crazy that he went from 6…to 7! If you know you know.

Cohen is so sweet, kind, helpful, and smart. He loves building hot wheels tracks, setting up play areas for his little brothers, swimming, NASCAR, baseball, and never sitting still or being quiet… ever. 😆

I’m so thankful God chose me to be his mom! I love you Cohen!! Happy birthday!!

What I Wore · September 24, 2012

Mustard + Grey

Mustard + Grey

I wore this outfit to work today. This color combo is such a seasonal favorite of mine. And this sweater? If I could have one in every single color, I would. It’s the most comfortable thing I own. Oh and I hope you all like seeing these boots because I may never take them off. I bought them at the beginning of the Summer and I’m a little bit too excited to finally wear them!
Mustard + Grey
I haven’t been as present here on the blog as I’d like to have been lately. We’ve been taking a lot of things day by day around here. Sometimes taking photos or answering emails just seems like, too much. And sometimes it seems like the only thing that I want to do. I know that even during the hard times, I need to write here. I need to keep taking outfit photos and participating in this community – because I love it, because it’s my normal.
Mustard + Grey
Nate and I both got home around the same time today. He needed a hair cut and we desperately needed groceries, so we set out to tackle those two errands and got side tracked by Steak & Shake in between them. I honestly think it was a good choice to break for dinner, because I tend to need all of the foods when I’m starving. I can promise you that our shopping trip would’ve been really pointless/ridiculous had we gone in hungry!
Mustard + Grey
Well, it’s time for me to get to bed. I’ve been writing this post for over an hour – that is how hard it is for me to sit down and write a blog post right now. By the time I get anywhere near finishing it I’m pretty much over it, and then completely unhappy with the way I’ve strewn my words together. It’s exhausting. Maybe I need to try a different style of writing for a while? Maybe this blog needs to be less of a structured journal entry and more of a place for stories and snippets of important moments. Or maybe I just need some sleep.

I’m Wearing: GAP Sweater, Jeans via Forever21, Boots from Express, Betsey Johnson leopard heart earrings, and a Target scarf.

That outfit looks so comfy. I wish I could wear jeans to work. It would give me so many more options in regards to my outfits, but sadly I have to dress business casual which is hard when I'm constantly sitting on the floor playing with kindergartens. I do love all your ideas thou 🙂

I absolutely love this! I wish it was cool enough here to break out long sleeves and scarves. It looks so comfy but also so cute! I also like how your tattoo pops out of the top of the neck/sleeve, it's cute 🙂

This is such a cute outfit! Mustard is one of my favorite colors ever. And I love the boots! I have a similar pair like that…I wore them in almost all of my outfit post last year 🙂

Love how your hair pops next to the mustard scarf. I'm wearing my most comfy sweater today and I love that it's finally chilly enough to pull it out of the drawer. Those boots are so dang cute!

Aw! Well let me tell you from experience, sometimes blog breaks are JUST what the doctor ordered. I got married recently and leading up to my wedding, I could feel that my posts and outfits lacked the usual luster and wit that they usually did. I didn't blog for a couple of weeks and man what a difference it made. Blogging is my "normal" too, but sometimes it helps to just step away for a while. Even if blogging isn't what is stressing you out! I've recently discovered your blog and I think your photos, outfits and HAIR are just incredible. I do hope that you keep blogging, but if you are feeling burnt out, please make sure to take care of yourself!

Also, if I had these boots, they would never leave my feet!

I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
