Do you ever just have a simply great weekend that you wish would go on forever? That is what this weekend has been to me! Today in particular was just perfect. Unfortunately, Nate felt pretty under the weather and stayed on the couch most of the day. I wish he’d have been able to go about town with me, but I was off doing things he really doesn’t have a lot of interest in anyway! I’m usually so attached to other people, but I’m getting so much better about just going and doing my own thing! I even went to Zumba by myself yesterday, which is huge. I’m making myself sound crazy but going and trying new things by myself has just never been my thing! I hope someone else can identify with that so I feel less silly.

I wore this comfy outfit because I knew that I wanted to head over to the Peddler’s Mall after I ran a few errands. It’s was in the 50’s today and just a gorgeous day overall. I found this sweater at The GAP last weekend for a steal and if I didn’t have to wash it I would probably wear it ever day. I’m not kidding. It’s the comfiest thing I’ve ever worn. My Blowfish boots matched perfect. This was the first time I’ve ever worn them folded down and I loved the way the exposed fur looked with this outfit.

My Mother-in-law gave me this table a little while back and I decided it’d look pretty in the corner with a few knick-knacks on it. I picked up the gorgeous painted cup at Coldwater Creek for roughly $3 last weekend. Isn’t it lovely? The peacock is from our wedding decor, the LOVE cups via Urban Outfitters, the little nesting doll from a keychain that I found, the LOVE ornament a gift from Jackson & Kristie, and a piece of my green VW bug piggy bank from my Mom & Step-Dad. I have a lot of little things and this is a great way to display them! We also purchased a rug that matches our couch perfectly yesterday at Marshall’s – you can see it under my furry shoes!

I invited my Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Erin, to meet me at the Peddler’s Mall. It’s been a while since I’ve been in there and to be honest I never go expecting to find much of anything. I think Erin saw the turn table first and called me over. It was love at first sight.

I can feel my living room finally coming together. It’s such a great feeling. Owning a house and slowly making it your own is so rewarding. Waiting on the perfect piece to fit a space. Ahhh, I just love it! The record player needs a little bit of work but it’s completely fixable, and even if it wasn’t? I was going to buy a particle board piece of crap from Target to fit in that space that cost more than this beautiful solid wood vintage turn table. I think I made the better choice!
Now I’m off to put away what is left of the delicious slow cooker pot roast we had for dinner and to cuddle on the couch with Nate. Maybe I’ll even take a bubble bath and read a little bit of my book. =) I so wish I had just one more day to add to this weekend!
