I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would I told myself that 2026 would be the year I would get ‘me’ back and I suppose I have been on a mission! ❤️‍🔥

I’ve had this Anberlin tattoo floating around in my brain for yearsss. Finally talked through it with a friend, shared my ideas with @alexandratattoo , and she made them all come to ✨LIFE!✨ Had the best time enjoying several hours of girl talk, good music, and tattoo therapy with her - truly it is therapy and she is the best of the best!!!

I’m not sure I could ever put into words what Anberlin’s music has meant to me over the years. If you feel that way about music in any capacity - you get it. It’s definitely one of those ‘if you know, you know’ things. My Dad was a musician and he certainly passed that feeling down to me. Love that I carry that with me!

And now I get to carry pieces of my favorite band with me. 🖤🎶
Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohe Happy birthday to my SEVEN year old tiny bebe Cohen! He rolled his eyes at me when I said it’s crazy that he went from 6…to 7! If you know you know.

Cohen is so sweet, kind, helpful, and smart. He loves building hot wheels tracks, setting up play areas for his little brothers, swimming, NASCAR, baseball, and never sitting still or being quiet… ever. 😆

I’m so thankful God chose me to be his mom! I love you Cohen!! Happy birthday!!

I have the MOST FUN any time I’m in front of Michelle’s camera. She is so fun to hang out with and it ends up being the best girl time + hair and makeup! Y’all know I have 4 kids and I work from home.. I don’t get to feel fancy very often! If you like laughing until your cheeks hurt (your face cheeks) and feeling 🔥 - book a shoot with her! 10/10 highly recommend.

What I Wore · April 21, 2011

Stars in My Eyes & Sun in My Hair

Hello there! I have a few outfit posts backed up and ready to share, but I thought I’d go ahead and show you all what I’m wearing on this very day. If you saw my tweets earlier this morning, you might know why. ;]

This outfit was a controversial topic at my workplace today. I’m not sure if my team lead decided this on her own or if there was a discussion between others and a decision made that she was told to execute (trying not to kill the messenger, if that’s the case!) – but what in the world? I have worn far shorter dresses and skirts to work. It blew my mind and I didn’t know what to say. I’ve worked there for years and worn so many things that I went in expecting someone to say something – and this is just not one of those things! Basically I was told that the finger tip rule doesn’t apply to me because I’m just too tall and too thin. Okay? I think I may’ve figured out the issue though- WEDGES. I never used to wear heels of any kind and I think it’s causing the illusion of a much shorter skirt. What do you all think?

| Cardigan: Old Navy | Tank: Express | Skirt: Vintage | TIghts: H&M | Wedges: Target | Necklace: Claire’s |

I am a sucker for a good cardigan. Did you get it recently? I want!

I love this one. It could stand to be a little bigger, but I still love it. I've had it since last Summer I believe!

so im confused? did they say the skirt is too short? because if that's the case someone need's their head checked. that skirt is totally appropriate.

Yes, too short. And I will say that I had the top part rolled over once, making it about a half an inch shorter. But.. I've still worn shorter things. I've just started wearing heels.. that's the only thing I can think!

I'm confused about what's wrong with this outfit? Maybe the tights? Even still, I don't think it's inappropriate, you're nicely covered up in all places. I also love your top – the blue looks fantastic on you.

Thank you Claudia. It was the length of the skirt. I just don't get it. I guess I'll have to wear ankle length skirts from now on..

wtf, they can't discriminate you based on your HEIGHT. That makes me kind of angry to hear! GR. I'd file a complaint with HR.

Exactly- that's exactly how I felt! Alas, I don't feel like it's really worth it to get in a right and wrong war over it. I have a feeling I'd just end up fired for some other made up reason, haha. I'll just try to be less TALL. Geez.

I would definitely say that they were made uncomfortable by what I like to call your "leggyness." I am fairly tall myself, and people always comment when I wear shorts, even shorts that by today's standards are quite long (don't even get me started about when I wear shorts with heels!)nA lot of bare leg gives the illusion of skirts/shorts being much more revealing than they actually are. Boo to the man, I say! Let us have our legs!

Le sigh. I know that you're exactly right, but yes- let us have our legs! We were born this way! Ha. I leave my shorter shorts and skirts for the weekends, and I think I should be allowed to wear a skirt of decent length with some heels, ya know? I think the thing that irritated me the most is that I've been wearing the same clothes (for the most part) and working with the same people for about 2 years and it's no big deal. I wear a pair of heels and everyone loses their mind!

They are crazy! The skirt isn't short at all- ESPECIALLY paired with those tights!

Thank you, I'm so glad to get some validation on this subject. Hah. And I've worn a much shorter skirt, with those tights, WITH those wedges.. so I'm not sure what the deal was/is.

Btw, I love the outfit 🙂

My middle/high school had the fingertip rule, and they also told me that I'm too tall and that the rule didn't apply to me and that my shorts had to go to my knees! I was SO mad.

Your skirt doesn't look that short at all, and you are wearing tights!! How lame.

Cute outfit though, I love the cardigan!

You're one of the few people I've seen who can rock that color hair! I LOVE it…and kinda jealous, too 🙂
