Ahhh, it’s Friday lovelies! It’s here at last!! Today is a great day- if for no reason other than it being the start of the weekend! Tonight our nephew Ethan is coming over for a little sleep over. I was thinking I’d be running around frantically to pick up the house, because yes, I pick up my house to entertain six year olds. But Nate and I have done such an amazing job keeping up with the chores this week. My longer hours at work have put such a heavy load on me when it comes to house work and hobbies – but a little team work is going a long way! I’m one of those, “I’ll do it myself!” types – but I’ve definitely learned the importance of asking for help. It’s going to be a fun night of pizza and Wii games. I really, really want to build a cool tent in the living room.. but I think that might be viewed as sort of lame in comparison to Uncle Nate and cool video games. ;]
I wont try to fool you- these photos are a few months old! Eep. I just found them in my iPhoto stash. I don’t think I originally liked them very much and pushed them aside. I bet if I looked hard enough I’d find tons of unposted photos! I’m starting to feel like my outfit photos are a tad bit stale. The location (my backyard) is just not what I’m looking for anymore. I think I’m going to start taking little “me” adventures on the weekends. I want to get out and look for photo locations, go thrifting, hang out in a coffee shop for a while and read a little. I think I’ll start doing these things, even if it’s just for a few hours. Nate is welcome to come of course, and if any of my girlfriends care to join I’m up for that, too! But- I’ve become one of those people who just doesn’t go looking for activities or outings that make me happy. Do you know what I mean? I’ve never been a very independent person, that’s for certain! And Nate and I are a bit opposite in our interests sometimes. Plus, I naturally tend to follow other people around, and I think that’s a tricky little habit to have. I’ll never be one to just go off on a day of adventures by myself, that’s just not me. It never will be and I’m okay with that. I just feel very uninspired lately- outfits, decorating, writing. I need something to remind me that my job isn’t swallowing my life whole!

Your hair is so pretty and I love the way it looks with the grey cape and red tights. So wonderful. I know how you feel about the same location getting stale. During the summer I go on length photo adventures, but in the winter, I just stay in my backyard or street. Booooring! Good luck on your thrifting coffee photo adventures. They sound dreamy!
Thank you! I'm really hoping to find a few places not too far from home! There's a gorgeous old abandoned barn in my neighborhood, but parking would be awkward and actually getting to it seems nearly impossible – high grass, mud, yuck! I am determined to make it happen though!
