On NYE I got all dressed and ready pretty early in the day. We didn’t really have any plans for the evening, but we had talked to a few friends about getting together at one house or the other no matter what. So, I kept my outfit pretty casual and easy. Then- I heard the door bell ring! A package! I ripped it open and this is what I found:
This could easily be the best mail day of my life to date. I first heard of Francesca’s Collections in the Summer when it was announced that we would be getting one in our mall. I waited very impatiently for it to open after I saw how charming it looked from the outside, and I was not disappointed! Dare I say there is nothing in that store that I don’t want. And this jacket, scarf, and pair of earrings are no exception. In particular, when I saw this jacket in the store, I almost died. It is the perfect shade of one of my all time favorite colors- mustard. I’ve gravitated toward it even more since having dyed my hair red. I just love it so, so much.
Our night turned out to be pretty eventful and maybe one of the best New Year’s I can remember in a long time. We (Nate, Brittany, Jackson, Kristie, Olivia, & I) ended up spending it dancing and singing to a Weezer cover band that just happened to be playing a few blocks over from Jackson & Kristie’s house. There weren’t so many people there that you couldn’t enjoy yourself, but there were enough that you knew you weren’t some where totally lame on NYE. ;] Several of us ended up on stage with the band by the end of the night belting out Weezer lyrics. Y’all .. it was a good night. (It’s a tiny stage in a small room.. don’t get too excited.)
There’s a pretty big sale going on over at Francesca’s Collections right now that will be running until the 9th. I’m having a hard time not ordering a few things right now with such good deals going on. I love to shop in the store, but there’s just really something so wonderful about getting a package full of pretty items in the mail!

Mustard is cropping up all over the place…and I love it! It's such a flattering color on so many people, plus it can either be neutral or that elusive pop of color. Great choice!

YOUR TIGHTS MATCH YOUR HAIR. I love how you can work that certain set of colors…I'm trying to come up for a name for it, but like mustard and greys and dark browns. Looks real good, honeychile.
