Hello everyone.šŸ‘‹šŸ» Bennett and his two teef w Hello everyone.šŸ‘‹šŸ» Bennett and his two teef would like you to know that it is not bed time, despite what mom thinks about it. Everett the marshmallow sleep suit baby agrees. They have made a pact to scream in unison for as long as it takes to get their point across. Twins vs Mom: two-nil.

In a moment of desperation, I scooped Bennett up w In a moment of desperation, I scooped Bennett up while I was nursing Everett and managed to tandem nurse them. I haven’t enjoyed tandem nursing so I haven’t forced myself to do it. I enjoy the one on one time with them anyway. But they’re starting to notice more and more that the other one is eating while they wait their turn. And today I found that at 6 months old it’s a lot easier to nurse them at the same time. They can sit up a bit, I don’t have to use a feeding pillow or roll up blankets to put under their heads. It was actually really peaceful. They both fell asleep snuggled on me and that doesn’t really happen usually because I typically hold one at a time.🄹

So maybe this will be a new thing for us now. I am proud of myself because I haven’t paid much attention to what I *should* be doing. I just do whatever works for us. šŸ’•

Swipe to see what he woke up with over night vs one day of using Tubby Todd vs several days. I did put a little bit of the hydrocortisone cream on it that my pediatrician prescribed on the first day, but that legit never does anything hardly. So I know this is really working! I’m so excited to use the body wash on the kids as well and I may keep the Suds Stick for myself because Coconut & Sea Salt sounds heavenly. If you suffer from eczema - you NEED this!
I didn’t manage to take an official *6 Month* ph I didn’t manage to take an official *6 Month* photo today but here is one of Everett and Bennett playing on their mat during tummy time earlier! Everett is battling an ear infection and Bennett got his first two bottom teeth a few days ago - so there’s lots of fussiness over here! Bennett is still sleeping through the night 100% from 7ish PM to 8 AM! Meanwhile, Everett has been waking up every 1-2 hours the past few nights to nurse. 🄓

I can’t believe they’re already six months old! It’s so much fun to see their personalities shining through. Everett needs lots of cuddles and really likes sitting in the sit me up seat to play with toys. Bennett can be content to swing or chill on the twin z pillow for a lot longer and he loves pat-a-cake. They both love all the attention they get from Landon and Cohen! It’s hard to remember life without them. I’m so blessed to be their momma. šŸ’• #twinmom #momoftwins #boymom

A New Strategy for Keeping My Kiddos Safe

This blog post may contain affiliate links. Learn more.

Hey friends! I’ve been on a mission lately to find ways to make my life easier. Isn’t that the ultimate goal when you have little ones? I think so! Recently, Cohen (my youngest – he’ll be 3 in April), has discovered that he can very easily open the front door. He has even demonstrated that he can unlock it. Queue panic. Enter a product making my life easier: Door Guardian.

I have to tell you about this because a) it works and b) it took me all of 5 minutes to install it. In my mind, I’m a tool-belt-wearing-DIY’er who can do hard things (thanks Instagram) but the reality of it is that I will just never get around to finishing a task if it seems too daunting. This was so easy! It was even easy peasy to order it since Door Guardian is available on Amazon! I even made a TikTok showing how easy it was to install, ha! (I’m trying to get into TikTok. Don’t make fun of me!) Ok, let’s break it down:

What Comes in The Package?

This is what comes inside. You can absolutely use the screws that come with it to make it more secure but I decided not to do that because the tape that comes on each piece of the lock is STRONG. If you rent, this is a perfect solution. No holes in your door frame or door! If you’re kind of lazy – this is also a perfect solution for you! You can always go back later and secure it with the screws if you’d like.

The Installation Process is a Breeze!

There are exactly three steps to this process, check http://www.readunwritten.com/ – 1) slide the piece that goes between the door and the door frame into the gap so you can line up the two pieces, mark the top of it with a pencil so that when you open the door you can line it back up with your pencil mark. If you stick the piece that goes on the door too far back or too far forward it won’t line up with the piece that goes on the door frame, so this is important! 2) Open the door, peel the tape backing off, and place it on the edge of the door. 3) Shut the door, peel the tape backing off of the lock piece, and secure it to the door frame where it interlocks with the piece on the door. And you’re done! That is really all there is to it!

I immediately called my kiddos over to try and open the door and they could not do it. I pulled on it as hard as I could and it didn’t budge! I placed it high enough that they would have to climb on something to even attempt to unlock it but even if they managed to get up there I don’t think they could figure it out. There is a small piece that can be inserted to keep the lock from being opened which requires a key to pull it out, so if your kids are little magicians, that extra safety measure is for you!

Overall, I am 100% satisfied with this product. This has been the easiest extra safety measure I have added to our home and I feel so much better knowing that my kids won’t be able to open the door if I don’t want them to.
