We had a blast celebrating Landon this weekend! I’m not usually a water park girl but even I had fun, at 7 months pregnant. I will say, the lazy river was not as lazy as I expected. I wasn’t paying attention as I was rounding up tubes and getting everyone situated when suddenly a huge bucket of water turned upside down on my head. Swipe to see my reaction right after. I don’t think Nate has ever been more pleased. 🤣 He has been waiting years for that moment.
Happy 7️⃣th birthday to my sweetest, smartest, Happy 7️⃣th birthday to my sweetest, smartest, most wonderful Landon! He and Daddy went and got donuts this morning and picked out some fun books/toys at Target! I told him last night as I tucked him in bed that I cannot believe he is already SEVEN, and he responded, “Well… I’ve just been living my life!” 🙃🥲 I can’t wait to celebrate him all weekend! I love you, Landon! 💕🎈🎂
27 weeks ✨ I can’t believe I’m so close to t 27 weeks ✨ I can’t believe I’m so close to the third trimester! The last few days have been a challenge. Nate and the boys spoiled me on Mother’s Day and by the end of the day I was completely wiped out. I’m at the point where my mind feels very motivated and excited to do things but my body is now in pain doing just about anything. I could honestly sleep all day but on the flip side, I can hardly sleep at night because that’s the most uncomfortable time for me.

I’m trying so hard not to wish this time away. These are my last lil babies. This is the last time I will be pregnant. I feel so thankful and blessed. I can tell you right now that I never in a million years imagined myself as a twin mom and I certainly did not see myself with 4 kids! I remember being unsure we would even have two! 🤯 But now it all just feels so surreal and meant to be. I just can’t help but feel so ready to meet them!

This weekend we are celebrating the one who made me a mom as he turns 7! I don’t know how that’s even possible. It makes me realize just how fast these next few weeks are going to go. Time is flyiiinggg.
Thanks for the memories Islamorada! It was a wonde Thanks for the memories Islamorada! It was a wonderful treat to relax and experience a part of my home state that I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting! We will definitely be back, as Hargis party of 6, if we’re that brave. 😂🥳
Bumpin’ with these twins in the pool all day tod Bumpin’ with these twins in the pool all day today! So thankful for this time with @natehargis1987 to relax a bit before life gets a little extra wild and tiring, in the best way. ✨
I’m just here for the key lime pie mocktails.🍹😋
I think I’ll enjoy this view for a few days. 🥰
The beautiful weather this weekend was just what w The beautiful weather this weekend was just what we needed! Going to bed tonight excited for only two more days of work before some much needed relaxation.
Happy Easter! ✝️🐣 It has been a full day of Happy Easter! ✝️🐣 It has been a full day of celebrating over here! None of it would’ve been possible without Nate. He got off work and went to get a few last min presents for Cohen, picked up the cake, ordered pizza, filled all the eggs, and hid them. He sent me back to bed after lunch because I am still sick, but I was trying desperately to be better. 😐

I’m just so glad Cohen had a good birthday and they got an egg hunt! Maybe next year we’ll make it to church with all four little ones!🤞🏻

A New Strategy for Keeping My Kiddos Safe

This blog post may contain affiliate links. Learn more.

Hey friends! I’ve been on a mission lately to find ways to make my life easier. Isn’t that the ultimate goal when you have little ones? I think so! Recently, Cohen (my youngest – he’ll be 3 in April), has discovered that he can very easily open the front door. He has even demonstrated that he can unlock smâlân it. Queue panic. Enter a product making my life easier: Door Guardian.

I have to tell you about this because a) it works and b) it took me all of 5 minutes to install it. In my mind, I’m a tool-belt-wearing-DIY’er who can do hard things (thanks Instagram) but the reality of it is that I will just never get around to finishing a task if it seems too daunting. This was so easy! It was even easy peasy to order it since Door Guardian is available on Amazon! I even made a TikTok showing how easy it was to install, ha! (I’m trying to get into TikTok. Don’t make fun of me!) Ok, let’s break it down:

What Comes in The Package?

This is what comes inside. You can absolutely use the screws that come with it to make it more secure but I decided not to do that because the tape that comes on each piece of the lock is STRONG. If you rent, this is a perfect solution. No holes in your door frame or door! If you’re kind of lazy – this is also a perfect solution for you! You can always go back later and secure it with the screws if you’d like.

The Installation Process is a Breeze!

There are exactly three steps to this process – 1) slide the piece that goes between the door and the door frame into the gap so you can line up the two pieces, mark the top of it with a pencil so that when you open the door you can line it back up with your pencil mark. If you stick the piece that goes on the door too far back or too far forward it won’t line up with the piece that goes on the door frame, so this is important! 2) Open the door, peel the tape backing off, and place it on the edge of the door. 3) Shut the door, peel the tape backing off of the lock piece, and secure it to the door frame where it interlocks with the piece on the door. And you’re done! That is really all there is to it!

I immediately called my kiddos over to try and open the door and they could not do it. I pulled on it as hard as I could and it didn’t budge! I placed it high enough that they would have to climb on something to even attempt to unlock it but even if they managed to get up there I don’t think they could figure it out. There is a small piece that can be inserted to keep the lock from being opened which requires a key to pull it out, so if your kids are little magicians, that extra safety measure is for you!

Overall, I am 100% satisfied with this product. This has been the easiest extra safety measure I have added to our home and I feel so much better knowing that my kids won’t be able to open the door if I don’t want them to.
