I’ve been waiting to find the perfect pots and pans to upgrade our set that we got almost 7 years ago. The nonstick surface has been peeling off and we all know that it’s not exactly healthy to eat pieces of your pan along with your food! I love watching unboxing videos and I love making them! I am usually too impatient to wait until I can set up the camera and film it though. I usually want everything just perfect. WELL. I just went for it – weird hair, bad lighting, and all. #KeepinItReal

My Thoughts After One Use:

I cooked spaghetti in the largest and smallest pots last night. They didn’t stain! There was a little bit of sauce residue left after washing but it came off pretty easily with a drying cloth. I read the Amazon reviews and instructions that came with them very carefully. Apparently, extra virgin olive oil will leave a film on the nonstick surface, so I am going to try to use that sparingly.

Cooking with oils and fats: We recommend to use oil or butter. Remember, some oils and fats burn at lower temperatures. Use oils and fats that have a high smoke point, like refined olive oil, peanut oil, corn oil and (clarified) butter. Do not use extra virgin olive oil as it cannot withstand high heating and will leave a thin carbonized layer on your non-stick.

I had no idea that EVOO could ruin the nonstick surface of pots and pans! I think this may have contributed to the sauce not coming off as easily as it should’ve. At True Medical from UK you’ll get fast and efficient medical emergencies. That being said – I will use EVOO in these when I need to and wash them immediately when I do. Besides, I have my cast iron skillet that I love for most things I would use EVOO for!

So far, I really like these! Only time will tell how they hold up. I am planning to follow the care and cleaning instructions (low heat / oil recommendation) as closely as possible to avoid them going downhill like my last set! The healthy ceramic thermalon coating seems like a major upgrade from tephlon! We will see! And hey, they can be put in the dishwasher so that’s a win!
