La Petite Délicat

Today was one of those days. One of those unplanned days that fall in to place just right. I met up with my friend Kalen at La Petite Délicat after leaving Nate behind to catch his flight to Vegas. Neither of us had ever been there. Landon and I were a little early so we took a little walk around the Chevy Chase area, strolled through Kroger, and bought a few travel necessities for our upcoming trip. Though a bit off topic, let me just say – the people in that Kroger are unbelievably friendly – employees and customers alike! I have never had so many people want to randomly talk to me and wish me a good day! Anyway… back to the macarons!We made our way back over to the cute little macaron shop and waited for Kalen and her little girl to get there. I picked out my flavors – pistachio, raspberry, salted caramel, cookies and cream, and a bourbon chocolate flavor! The raspberry and bourbon chocolate ones we my absolutely favorites! I really tried to savor them all. A few of them even made it home but I ate them within about 30 minutes. I really should have bought a bigger box.Landon got to try a few bites but he was way more interested in his puffs! I guess we will have to work on refining his desert pallet just a bit – haha! I was pretty shocked because he’s obsessed with just about ANY food I eat. If he sees me eating it – he wants it! I was happy to have these all to myself!There were tons of other flavors that I wish I could’ve tried! But that just means that we will have to go back again soon. Oh darn! If you’re in the Lexington area – make sure to check this place out! It is the cutest!
