365 Days of Marriage in 2014 – Day 5

Today was for grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s, a little bit of house tidying, and left overs for dinner. We hung the Christmas present that I made for Nate in the entry way this evening. The first medal/bib is from Nate’s first marathon, where his Dad was there to greet him after the race. The second medal/bib is from his second marathon, which he ran just shortly after his Dad passed away. I snapped photos at the end of each, his Dad hugging him after the first one and his Mom hugging him after the second one. I think this is the reason I love photography so much. The ability to stop time and keep a moment forever. I love that Nate will always have these pictures.

Have a great week ahead, friends. We’re facing a cold few days ahead around here. It was in the 50s today and we’ll be in the negatives for the high tomorrow!
