Pamper Yourself.

pamper

This week has been a long one! Nate and I are both feeling stretched pretty thin right now. Not fun, but definitely something that will pass. While Nate takes to the road for a 10 mile run when he feels in need of a “refresher” … me? Not so much. I’m more about the stuff going on in the above photos. Ha! So tonight while Nate was out running, I was in the bathroom dying my hair (finally! oh my, I don’t think I’ve ever let it get this bad!) and soaking in my garden tub with a book. I even watched Teen Mom afterward, shamelessly I might add, while giving myself a pedicure.

(I also did laundry intermittently. So, it wasn’t all fun and games.)

Believe it or not – I rarely ever slow down for the details. I’d rather not have to clean the dust out of the bathtub when I can just take a shower instead and be done with it. I’d rather wear shoes that hide my toes instead of taking a moment to fix my polish. I’d rather wear a hat every day to cover up my roots vs. dying my hair! I am the laziest person you’ll ever meet when it comes to taking the time to do nice things for myself, and I NEVER watch trashy television any more. I live a sad, sad life. ;] But I’m trying to slow down a little bit and keep up with some of the “little things”. Anything that encourages me to relax is something I should take full advantage of right now! Even if it is MTV.

Have a good night my friends and remember to indulge in the simple happies of life! It really is worth it!

  2. I totally agree with you, when I need time to relax and de-stress, I head right into beauty pampering. I'm glad you got the time to do some nice things for yourself 🙂
