Can you believe that today is the first day of Summer? What I mean is – hasn’t it been Summer for like EVER now?! It’s been unbearably hot for what feels like a really, really long time. I’m not complaining though because evenings like these remind me of what I love about Summer. The warm evening air. Hula hooping and seeing who of your friends can do the most “tricks”. (In case you’re interested – I can jump up and down while the hula hoop spins at a crazy angle. Skills, I tell ya.) Sitting in the grass in a circle talking and laughing until it gets so dark that only the glow of fireflies lights everyone’s faces. Heading out with girlfriends waaaay past bedtime (something I do like, twice a year now!). Raiding your friend’s closet because you didn’t know you’d be going out. Walking downtown in cute wedges that are entirely too small for you and pretending they don’t hurt. Yep – I love you Summer evenings.
I’m usually so particular about clear photos .. but I just love the fact that these are just a bit imperfect due to the low lighting. I think I need to buy a few disposable cameras this Summer. I miss the excitement of developing pictures.

Such a perfect post. I agree, it's felt like summer for a while now… but little summery moments like yours are the stuff memories are made of. =]
Hula hooping! Oh my goodness I completely forgot how much fun that can be! I think I'm going to have to get myself one next time I go to the store and have my own little hila hoop party!
I miss the excitement of developing photos too! I might have to whip out my non-digital SLR! Also, hula hooping is a lot of fun. Haha.
I would love to have an actual film camera. Jealous!

You’ll be seeing that outfit again soon! I have a post scheduled. But it’s not a romper, just a top and shorts. 🙂
Hula hooping is truly an amazing workout. I like to do often. It's good to learn an exciting story of hula hooping having in summer time. Great pictures though!!
