I kind of gave up a while ago on the idea of doing any type of weekly series here on the blog. I’ve recently attempted to implement a blog schedule and I haven’t been able to obey that either. Anyhow! I’m doing a “Things I’m Loving Wednesday” post, and there probably wont be one next Wednesday just to let you know. ;] Also, I think most people post these on Thursdays. Clearly I’m just a rule breaker on every level when it comes to blogging.
The first thing I’m loving this week? My brand new (to me) bicycle!

EEEPP!! So I’ve been looking for a bike on Craigslist for a few weeks, maybe a month? I actually had my eye on a cute older *vintage* one and then low and behold, a few days later we were over at Jackson & Kristie’s place and there it sat in their entry way. HA. Great minds. So I kept my eye out, determined to come across the perfect one. I happened to see the listing for this one go up right away and emailed the seller that night. I showed Nate and didn’t really think I would get it, but I couldn’t stop talking about it and he could tell I really wanted it. So I emailed the seller on Monday and decided we would look at it this evening. As fate would totally have it the seller lives two or three streets over from me, literally. I rode the thing home. Amazing, right?! Lexington isn’t exactly a small city so this sort of blows my mind! Fate!!

The second thing I’m loving is our upcoming trip to San Francisco this Memorial Day weekend.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have been wondering what my new obsession with San Francisco is all about – now you know! Nate and I took a little trip (to Chicago) last May and decided that we wanted this to be a yearly tradition. We talked about going a few different places but we settled on San Francisco as a better option than New York and the other bigger cities that we want to visit based on the fact that we only have a three day weekend. I’ve been putting together all kinds of lists of places I want to go. AH, I can’t wait! I’m so excited to make another video like this one.
Lastly, I freaking love what this couple did with their wedding Save The Dates.

When we were making our Save The Dates (that actually ended up being a total flop, because I had to change the date and the location after they went out) we kept accidentally saying “Saves The Day” when we would try to talk about our save the dates … I can’t believe it never occurred to me to do something like this. For those of you who don’t know what the heck I’m talking about click here to see the album cover that they recreated. Saves The Day is a band…. I kind of hope no one needed me to tell them that. ;] ///pretentious music snob/// Just kidding. Kind of.
Expect to see a lot of upcoming outfit posts where I pose with my bicycle. I will probably attempt to match it, too. Sorry in advance for that, haha.

I really LOVE that bike! That was more like the kind of bike I wanted, but I settled for the red one I got at Target….I do like the color red anyhow…And San Francisco is a great place for sightseeing, art, food, and culture! -Jessica

I truly thought I would end up settling too! I knew I had a better chance of finding something more unique on Craigslist so I think that helped. I'm so excited about San Francisco!!

Thanks Sophie! =) That means a lot!
I love the bike. I want one.
I love SF. I think you guys will have fun. I’d definitely choose it over NYC.
=) You should get one!!
I'm glad other people think we made the right choice, I can't wait!
Loving the bike so so much!
My dad used to collect old Schwinn bicycles. Your bike reminds me a little bit of a bike from the '50s that my dad bought me, it's pink and white. It's not in the best shape, so I can't wait to get it repainted one day and be able to enjoy it.
Enjoy your new bike!
I wanted to buy an older bike like that, but I know myself so well- if I bought a project bike it would sit and sit. So glad I ran across this one already in good shape. I hope you get yours fixed up! =)
Okay so first things first…why on EARTH would anyone get rid of that gorgeous bike? It's boggling my miiiiiind. Also, IT'S FREAKING AMAZING!!! You are the luckiest girl in the world…not even over exaggerating, it's beautiful.
Secondly, you're going to San Fran? Kay, we can't be friends anymore. Just kidding!! Super envious right now…
I KNOW. I thought the exact same thing, but I didn't ask! I wouldn't have wanted him to change his mind. 😉 It's barely been used even. I feel pretty blessed to have found it, in my own neighborhood!! 😀
And yes, yes I am- but I think we can still be friends. 😉
I love that bike. I've got one similar sitting my garage waiting to be sanded and put together again. I really need to do that… I'm just so – lazy. 😛
Hope your trip is super. It sounds like so much fun!
Ah see, if I had to do all of that it would never get put together. I will put stuff like that off forever! 😡
Thank you! 😀
