My Blogging Space

I’ve finally started working on setting up our computer room as my blogging area, or “studio”, as so many ladies refer to it as! I snapped this photo in a quick hurry as the sun was on it’s way down and my natural light was slowly disappearing. I have so much more I want to do in here, but for now- this is just fine! My little note holder above the desk is crooked just a tad bit so I need to get that fixed, and then get a few photos and notes put up on it. The space to left of the pink typewriter seems like it might be a nice space for a calendar.. what do you think?

Blog Studio

I hung it centered over the computer screen and off center of the desk to be a bit different .. but now, I’m thinking something may need to even it all out. This is a nice size room so I’d like to add a futon to the back wall with fun accent pillows and a cozy rug to comfy it all up (and to cover some of the teal paint boo-boos on the carpet)! It’d be nice to have this room as sort of a relaxing area to just read (or blog) in! My wing back chair that I use as a computer chair is almost too cozy for a working space though! *snooze*

We found this lovely glass top white desk at the Peddler’s Mall a few months ago and I think it looks perfect in here against the darker paint color. Part of me wants to change up the handles but I’m not sure if that’s really at the top of my to-do list with so many other things that I want to tackle around the house. I love the fact that almost all of our accent furniture has been thrifted. While I was cleaning the desk up to be brought into the house we had it on it’s side getting all of the cobwebs cleared out and I found a few male signatures and the date, 1950 something. It just leaves me wondering about the history of this desk, ya know? Who do those signatures belong to? Did they build this desk together in the 50’s? Fun things to think about!

I hope you all had a great Monday! Do you have your own blogging space? How have you decorated yours? I feel like a trip to Ikea is in order! ALSO- the comments are closed on the Stickygram Giveaway a few posts below. I will announce the winner tomorrow evening! I decided to leave it open an extra day and a few of you snuck your entries in just in time!

i love it! that blue wall is perfect. and i love all the white/silver and your adorable typewriter picture.

funny enough i started photographing my workspace today for a post like this (albeit my three different workspaces, as i work across 3 different operating systems, 4 if you count my ipad, and 3 different computers) so i smiled when i saw this! i love yours – i wish i could paint my apartment a fun happy color like this.

Oh that sound so much more interesting than my workspace details! I guess I do work across two different platforms though. I’m usually on my MacBook curled up on the couch.

Ooh I love the typewriter print and I need one, even if I don't really have anywhere to put it.

Mine sat in the closet for about a year, you’ll find somewhere for something eventually if you love it enough!
