March – You’re Here!

Well, hello March! I’m not sure where February went but we’re one month closer to warmer temperatures so I’ll take it! My week started off like a typical work week, but with a twist. I realized on Tuesday morning that I ruined an entire laundry load of clothes by drying a piece of dark chocolate with them. I rewashed them but it was a no-go. They’re done. All of my leggings, t-shirts, tank tops – yep. Guess who get’s to go shopping for all new basics this weekend? I’m going to just take it as a sign that it needs to be done because they all had holes and undone hems anyway. I think this is also a sign that I need to stop carrying chocolate on my person at all times. *nods*

In other fun fashion news- I received a dress from England today! My first piece of international mail! No, I didn’t order it. Miss Kate from Wake Up, Lovely sent it over, and I will be sending it on to a few other girls to be styled as well before it makes it’s return to her! Isn’t that so fun? I love the dress and I am hoping for pretty weather this weekend so that I can take the perfect pictures in it! She has inspired me to go out and buy (or possibly make?) gorgeous stationary. Aside from being excited about receiving a dress, I was totally enamored with the pretty paper and envelopes (and handwriting) that came with it! Simple pleasures.

I’ve felt so scatterbrained every time I’ve sat down to write a blog post lately. I think I can attribute this to the fact that I think of blog ideas all day long at work and then feel absolutely brain dead when I get home in the evenings. Tomorrow evening I’m going to sit down with my planner and plan out the entire months posts and get things all sorted out. Nate has to work on Saturday so I’m sure we’ll be in bed fairly early Friday night and I’ll have Saturday at home to clean and work on a few things!

To end this I will just say: I want to be better friends with you. Yes- you. Tweet me. Email me. Ask to do an ad swap. I want to engage more with other people in this community. In the past I’ve been really terrible at this. I would forget to respond to emails and tweets. But lately I’ve been trying so hard to keep up and I think I have a pretty good handle on it. If you’ve ever taken the time to email me or tweet me only to hear crickets – I’m so sorry. Also, is iChat//Skype a dying form of communication? I used to chat for hours online with my best friend via iChat almost every day. Not even that long ago really. I miss it!

Have a great Thursday night and an even better Friday! We’re supposed to be getting awful weather tomorrow so hopefully I’ll be able to leave work when I’m done and not have to hunker down in the hall! Eep. That would be a crappy start to the weekend!
