I recently took a little walk in my neighborhood just to reflect and relax. I took my camera along with me and got a lot of weird looks from all of the construction workers around. Living in a new development sub division can get old pretty quick. I can’t wait until there isn’t constant construction going on all around us and everything just feels.. established. You know? I love huge trees. Our neighborhood has baby trees. ;] And waking up at 8:30AM on THANKSGIVING morning to the sound of construction just .. there are no words. What were they doing working on Thanksgiving?!
Anywho, on to the pretty pictures… but first! Check out these darling little bowls I picked up! If I gave you a thousand guesses as to where I bought them and how much I paid for them.. you would never guess. I promise! You ready?
Aren’t they just the cutest things ever?! I bought them at Cold Water Creek. Yes, you heard me. That store that you think you’re way to young to venture in to? Right. It all started when I received a coupon in the mail with their holiday catalogue. I was stunned that it was for $25 off of anything. Not $75, not $100- anything! My goal was to find something for $25, naturally, but those items are few and far between. I looked online beforehand and found these bowls and a few other owl home items, and when I went into the store everything was buy one get one half off! So, all together I bought them for a total of $3 with my coupon. Pretty excited about that purchase! It’s so fun to put candy in them, eat the candy, and see the cute little owl face! ..also a really good way to eat too many peanut m&ms.
The weather has been beautiful, but I know that the warmer days are drawing to a close. I really wish I had taken more time to just take walks before the colder months set in. But I know that they will arrive and remind me that they also bring a beauty that I can’t deny. Snow covered roof tops, icicles gleaming in the sun.. there are gorgeous Winter days ahead of us as we leave Fall behind. I feel so blessed to live where I get to experience the seasons. I may miss my sunny state of Florida and very much dislike 20 degree weather.. but it’s worth it in the end! (Ignore me come mid January when I’m cursing this place…)

Oo I love the owl bowls!! I want!
love it all!
