I have the MOST FUN any time I’m in front of Michelle’s camera. She is so fun to hang out with and it ends up being the best girl time + hair and makeup! Y’all know I have 4 kids and I work from home.. I don’t get to feel fancy very often! If you like laughing until your cheeks hurt (your face cheeks) and feeling 🔥 - book a shoot with her! 10/10 highly recommend.

Thank goodness for spring. 🌸 2026 has been kin Thank goodness for spring. 🌸

2026 has been kind of a weird, wild ride so far, but full of good things. I started a new job! And that has taken up a lot of my time (in a good way), so I’ve been a little bit quiet around here.

I’m trying as hard as I can to prioritize myself more these days. Finally went to the doctor and did some blood work. Turns out, I’m severely anemic. I’m hoping I’ll start feeling better and little more awake after I start my iron. 😅 Maybe I can lay off the coffee a little bit. (J/k)

I can’t believe it’s almost April after we went through 3 years of January, but I’m not mad about it! Ready to relax outside on patios with family/friends and enjoy our kiddos running around. We made it. 🖤

And he said this to his social media loving picture taking wife who is finally feeling the sunlight on her face after months of seasonal depression. 🤪 Might just turn this into a Nate appreciation account. Stay tuned.😉

Learning To Sew: Part 1

When I went home to Florida a few weeks ago my mom asked me to make a list of all of the things that I wanted to do while I was there for the week. I eagerly told her that I wanted to learn to sew, I wanted to make a dress!! I wrote it down at the top of the list and got super excited. You see, my mom grew up sewing. She sewed her own designs as a teenager, a lot of my clothes when I was little, and all of my one of a kind award winning Halloween costumes! But of course, I was way too cool to be interested in learning to sew (or cook) when I was younger. My poor mom tried but I was just way too busy being a computer nerd. Boy do I regret that now! Any way, it made for a fun little craft that we could do together while I was there. Unfortunately, we only got to actually start sewing the jacket that went with the dress and we didn’t even finish that! But you know, it will be a continuous project whenever we visit back and forth. ;]

My mom has had this pin cushion my entire life. I rearranged the pins like this when I was 7 or 8, I think! She’s never moved them, haha.

Hello dress from previous outfit post! There were no tights paired with this in Florida!

Dress material..

My pretty Belle Cat, observing.

In part dos, I will show you the progress that we made on the jacket. We came so close to finishing it! I had so much fun working on this with my mom. Can’t wait until we can do it again. (= I definitely am coveting a sewing machine now that I understand the basics. I have so many things I want to make and I would love to be able to share my sewing adventures in this little space! Hopefully in the near future!

I too am super interested in sewing but never really learned. I can handstitch, have a tiny handheld sewing machine I've never tried, and have a great desire to make my own dresses… but it's just never happened for me yet. =[

I just inherited a sewing machine from my mother-in-law. I have so many high hopes of making clothes and such (whenever I can get around to learning to use it). I'm excited to hear more about your sewing adventures!

What a fun project. I sew a little bit, and it's so great to be able to make the odd little thing, though admittedly it's been a while. Can't wait to see more of your jacket & your sewing adventures. Hope you're having a great week. xo

I wish I knew how to sew. I see all these things on the internet, especially pinterest, of things I want to make. I can't, because I have no idea how to sew. I don't think I would be able to find the time if I was to buy a sewing machine. It is something that I definitely want to learn how to do. Maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas 🙂
